Café Gratitude offers free food on Thanksgiving Day from 11am-3pm at several of its locations. Café Gratitude serves organic, mostly raw (or “live”) vegan food, and most ingredients come from local merchants and farmers.

If you don’t know anything about Café Gratitude, here are some tidbits: All menu items have corresponding names that are affirmations; for example, a Caesar salad is also “I am dazzling.” An enchilada is entitled “I am elated.” This restaurant prides itself on environmental, sustainable practices. It uses unbleached 100% cotton cloths for napkins that, after used, are sent to become rags for the auto industry. Café Gratitude filters its own water at all locations, and it uses environmentally friendly products to wash dishes. All food scraps are composted (and some are sent to the restaurant’s Vacaville “Be Love Farm”).
