Whet Your Appetite: A Weekly Round-up
Black Friday at Santana Row: Food & Drink Discounts
Black Friday is a nationwide event the day after Thanksgiving, known for crowds flocking to huge sales on clothes, electronics, and more. San Jose’s Santana Row stores are offering lots of deals, and several restaurants are joining in! At Thea Mediterranean Cuisine, if you present a Black Friday receipt from any Santana Row shop or restaurant, you will receive 15% off your meal. The restaurant recently revamped its lunch and dinner menus; highlights include tapas such as “Saganaki Opa!” (flamed asiago cheese served tableside with brandy and lemon, $10) and entrees including “Lamb Mixed Grill” (lamb lollipops, lamb loin, homemade lamb sausage, pistachio-mint pesto and Israeli couscous, $21). Other promotions include extended happy hours at Yankee Pier (2-6pm; appetizer specials such as Skokum Oysters for $1) and Rosie McCann’s (from 11:30am on with half-price appetizers and $2 off pints, well drinks and select wines), and $3 drink specials at Roux Louisiana Kitchen (the Roux deal lasts until December 30: $3 for house wine, champagne, mimosas, and draft beer). And if you spend $300 at Santana Row on Black Friday, you’ll receive two tickets to Riverdance or Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Just show your same-day shopping and/or dining receipts to the Santana Row Concierge to pick up your tickets (while supplies last). Note: if you’re a serious Black Friday shopper and plan to arrive super-early, Starbucks on Santana Row will open at 3 a.m.! For more information on these and other promotions, click here.
