Going Green at Royal/T: A Culver City Community Gardening Experiment


Kids have fun at Royal/T

Who says you can’t go green and have fun at the same time? From now until Sept. 5th, Royal/T’s 10,000 square -foot art space and restaurant will be hosting “The Forbidden Forest,”an innovative “green” Pop-Up Shop with fun public workshops including crocheting birds, kids craft-making with recycled materials, terrarium-making, moss graffiti, and more.

To commemorate this, Royal T will also be featuring a special “Farmer’s Market” menu of dishes ($10-16) and a new signature cocktail—Botanical Bliss—Basil-infused Soju, Nigori Sake and a splash of Peach Syrup ($8). There regular menu will also be on hand.

Appetizers:
Tea-Smoked (Lapsang Souchong) Duck Breast over Organic Tatsoi, Navel Orange, Toasted Almonds, and an Orange-Lavender Vinaigrette - 12
Tempura Squash Blossoms stuffed with Spicy Tuna and a Shiso Pesto Aioli - 10

Main Course:
Green tea Soba Noodles with Farmer's Market Vegetables, Wild Mushrooms, and a touch of Oyster Sauce - 14
Grilled Salmon with Heirloom Tomatoes, Meyer Lemon-Thai Basil Pistou, and Japonica Rice – 16

Specialty Cocktail:
Botanical Bliss—Basil-infused Soju, Nigori Sake and a splash of Peach Syrup - 8

For those of you who’ve never been to Royal/T, this groovy place sports an innovative place to eat, gather and enjoy a wide array of Asian art. It provides a perfect outlet for the entire family.
