Just in time for summer, Baltimore magazine gives readers a look at the area markets around town and the nightlife found at the Maryland and Delaware beaches...
The June issue of Baltimore magazine has done the work with its cover story – The Food Lovers Guide. By scouring area farmers’ markets, municipal markets, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) harvests and grocery havens, the best items around town from fruit to honey and herbs have been found.
Whether it’s fresh produce, savory seafood or organic, gluten-free or ethnic products, there is a place for everyone in Baltimore. In addition to giving an insider’s look at each location, The Food Lovers Guide supplies farmer-suggested recipes, as well as glimpses of where restaurant owners purchase their products.
“No matter where Baltimoreans choose to go to shop or market-hop, there is one thing everyone can agree on – the atmosphere of these places is a distinctive charm of Charm City,” says Editor, Suzanne Loudermilk. “From the sweet aroma of just-picked fruit at an outdoor market to a beautiful meat display at a specialty shop, these food havens are a part of Baltimore.”
Already on vacation with hunger pangs? The June issue gives a detailed look at the food as well as nightlife found at the Maryland and Delaware beaches in The Beach After Dark. A seaside vacation is not all about the sun and surf – it’s cocktails at sunset, bonfires by the ocean and the boardwalk in all its bright kinetic glory. The Beach After Dark shares 30 fun things to do when the sun sets. From free to moderate-cost, there is plenty to do under the stars.
