With the start of a New Year under our belts, restaurants start to explore their options for new menu items for 2011. In 2010 some of the restaurant trends consisted of Artisan pizza, small plates, cocktails, sustainability and communal tables.
So what are some of the predictions for menu trends in 2011? Part 1 has been published the other week, but there are more!
Here are some more of them according to National Restaurant Association…
- Smaller portions for smaller prices
- “Culinary” cocktails - ones that have savory or fresh ingredients
- Ethnic-inspired breakfast items
- Artisan cheeses
- Mobile food trucks and pop-up restaurants
