Miss Shirley’s, S’ghetti Eddie’s and Roland Park Bagel Co. are among first in Baltimore to offer unique mobile incentives.

In a first-of-its-kind promotion, Baltimore restaurant Miss Shirley’s yesterday announced that it will reward the customers who check in at its locations the most via the popular social network Foursquare, by allowing them to jump to the front of the reservation line.

Miss Shirley’s will allow the customer crowned “Mayor” – the person who has checked in via Foursquare the most at the Roland Park or Inner Harbor eateries – to show his/her Mayor card via mobile device and skip waiting in line at the popular breakfast, brunch and lunch destination.

Foursquare is a location-based social network that allows users to "check-in" at certain locations to let their friends know where they are, while also earning points and digital badges. You can find me on Foursquare by clicking here (add me as a friend is you are part of it).

“We are excited to offer our customers the opportunity to compete for this unique privilege via the increasingly popular Foursquare,” Eddie Dopkin, owner of Miss Shirley’s. “By rewarding our customers for their frequent visits through this emerging social network, we are hoping to better connect with them.”

Additionally, S’ghetti Eddie’s and Roland Park Bagel Co. also announced that they will reward frequent patrons through Foursquare. Throughout April and May, customers who check in through Foursquare five times at S’ghetti Eddies will be awarded with a free slice of pizza. Customers who check in five times at Roland Park Bagel Co. will receive a free bagel with cream cheese.

Each restaurant is also offering free items to customers who become fans of their Facebook Fan Pages. Fans of Miss Shirley’s will receive one free order of sweet potato fries (with a minimum purchase of $10). Those who fan S’ghetti Eddie’s will receive one free cone or cup of ice cream. Fans of Roland Park Bagel Co. will be thanked with one free bagel with cream cheese.
