B&O American Brasserie has announced the departure of Executive Chef E. Michael Reidt, effective December 10, 2010. Reidt will stay in the Kimpton family as executive chef of Area 31 in Miami, named one of Esquire magazine’s Best New Restaurants in 2009. Reidt is not unknown in the Miami culinary scene. In 2001, he was the executive chef of Wish Restaurant.
Joining the B&O American Brasserie team as the new executive chef is Thomas Dunklin, currently the executive chef of Kimpton’s Red Star Tavern and Roast House in Portland, OR. Dunklin is expected to start at B&O American Brasserie by mid-December. A new menu from Dunklin will be released in the spring of 2011.
