OpenTable has announced its 2009 Diner’s Choice Award Winners for Best American Cuisine (as selected by OpenTable diners). Based on 2.5 million reviews of more than 9,000 restaurants in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, you can be sure this is one democratic list.

The Baltimore area is home to four of the top 50 winners—with Charleston, The Prime Rib, Volt and LJ’s and the Kat Lounge being recognized. Only New York City and its surrounding areas had more restaurants on the list.
