48 year old Faleh Hassan Almeleki of Glendale 'allegedly' (whatever!) ran his 20 year old daughter and her roommate over with his car for becoming too 'Westernized' and not living according to their traditional Islamic values.
I'm curious, what did she do? Wear a bra in public? Refuse to wear her berka to Arizona State? (if she's a college student) tell him she's 'uncomfortable' with the way he leers at her younger siblings or the family's pet goat? All ribbing aside, is it just me or is anyone else sick to death of this disgusting, perverted political ideology screwing up our nation with their polluted way of life and backward thinking?
The victim and unfortunate offspring of this idiotic nutjob, 20 year old Faleh Almeleki of Surprise, Arizona, remains hospitalized with life threatening injuries. Now, can you IMAGINE if she were to do something like this to her father? He or one of her creepy sexual bounderies-challenged relatives would have her beheaded, successfully run over or shot to death like the two teens in Texas.
And Crist is wondering why Rifqa Bary is so afraid to return to Ohio? Her parents are just as big of wackjobs as this guy.....c'mon, people, in this culture, 5000 young girls/women die EACH YEAR and that is JUST in the US alone....at the hands of a father or male relative for 'offending' the 'code' of Islam.

Here's a solution: How about off with HIS head? and I NEVER thought I'd ever be saying this but as CRAZY of a state for children's services as Florida is (remember the mess that took place under Jeb Bush? I sure do.....Oh my GAWD......) and sure, the kids fall through the cracks with freakish regularity but still, the kid is 100 times safer in the WORST hell hole of a foster home in Florida than she is in the Bary household for even one night.
Because not only has she dishonored her family by 'leaving' Islam, she has shamed them by publicizing it and their many, multi-faceted legal problems.

You need to do a fact check. 5,000 honor killings by Muslims in the U.S. alone? Did you enter some arbitrary number on wikipedia yourself and use that as a source? My recommendation to you is to go to school. If you are already in school, ask for your money back because clearly they have lacked efficiency in teaching you how to write. I will also pray for you, as you are the type of individual which lead many people to have little faith in the American future.

Ignorance is paranoia. The writer confuses cultural customs, values and traditions with Islam. Nothing in Islam justifies this man's behavior. I am non-religious but have read about religions. Same with genital cutting which is an African practice and does not occur anywhere else.

There can be no denial that islamic sharia law and an extremely significant number of islamists around the world do support the death penalty for those who choose to leave islam.
Rifqa's case is even more grave because of the international attention her case attracted, which shined a bright spotlight on islam's embarrassing and barbaric rules on how to handle apostasy.
Given this context, authorities need to proceed with extreme caution when evaluating these apostasy cases. IF ISLAM WERE TRULY A PEACEFUL RELIGION, NONE OF THIS WOULD BE HAPPENING.

FYI: The "5000 honor killings" comes from a United Nations report and it applies to the whole world, not just the United States. There are two things you should know. First, Sharia law calls for the death of apostates. If an adult Moslem, such as Noor, intentionally violates the norms of Islam, she could be considered an apostate. Noor was living with her boyfriend, which is fornication, and severely punishable under Sharia. She was also violating Islamic dress codes, and probably a whole lot else.
Second, Sharia law explicitly exempts parents and grandparents from the law of retaliation if they kill their children or grandchildren. If they kill other Moslems, they could be put to death under the law of retaliation. But, if they kill their own children or grandchildren, they cannot be put to death under Shariah law. In Jordan, for example, the law punishes honor killings far more leniently than it punishes other types of murder. And, Jordan is, supposedly, a moderate Moslem country.
I think all these muslims especially Abdul Ameer should be given a one way ticket back to their sandbox countries and let them do their Sharia law on themselves. The more they do it, the less of them there will be. Maybe they'll slaughter one another but let them keep their primitive, backwards, half-ass way of life to themselves and in their own countries. Our world here is civilized but no thanks to you Abdul. You only make deserts and wastelands out of your countries. I think we should send all of you guys to Mars. You ought to enjoy the terrain and the atmosphere up there, and then the rest of the world can get on with living their lives without having to hear about another one of you people murdering your own kids.
