North Korea has accused the United States of trying to “provoke a second Korean War” and says they would perceive interception of the North Korean ship, the Kang Nam, which U.S. officials believe to be carrying illegal weapons, as a declaration of war. The U.S.S John McCain has been following the ship since last week.
A dispatch from the Korean Central News agency said, “If the U.S. imperialists start another war, the army and people of Korea will ... wipe out the aggressors on the globe once and for all.”
