After DHS released its assessment warning law enforcement agencies of right-wing extremism, Homeland Security has been under fire, especially for the negative accusations geared toward veterans.
The warning claims, “right-wing extremists capitalized on the election of the first African American president, and are focusing their efforts to recruit new members, mobilize existing supporters and broaden their scope and appeal through propaganda, but they have not yet turned to attack planning.” The document went on to report that veterans are targets "for right-wing recruitment due to their "combat skills and experience", encouraging "violent capabilities.”
When asked if she felt an apology to veterans was necessary, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano obligingly offered one, reminding folks that Timothy McVeigh was in fact, “a Vet.”

Words hurt - shee should post her apology on a website like Apology Center and let the Internet world decide if it's worthy, ya know?

Over at analystblues dot com there is a an analysis of Napolitano's fitness for that office after losing confidence of so many vets and then shifting responsibility to one of her underlings who was replaced.
I, for one, am not ready to forgive and forget. This was premeditated and represents a pervasive attitude. The FBI admittedly coordinated on this report. It didn't just slip past a couple of dozing proof editors.
For those who are likewise dissatisfied, consider the potential action points recommended in, "I Am Spartacus! Standing up to Homeland Insecurity," by helmsmansociety.com.
