Jesus v. Obama: Georgetown sides with the President

Before Obama's Tuesday address at Georgetown, a Catholic University, the White House put in a request to cover all of the University's signage and symbols behind the stage in Gaston Hall.

That is exactly what they did.

Georgetown covered up the IHS monogram, spelling out Jesus’ name, with of all things, a piece of plywood.

When asked to comment, White House spokesman Shin Inouye said, “Decisions made about the backdrop for the speech were made to have a consistent background of American flags, which is standard for many presidential events.”

President of the catholic league, Bill Donahue, replied that, “No bishop who might speak at the White House would ever request that a crucifix be displayed behind him.”

Donahue went so far as to call the university “cowardice”, continuing to bash the administration for requesting a religious university to “neuter itself” so the President could speak.
