Sarah Palin’s daughters have borne the brunt of many of bad jokes over the last few weeks since David Letterman’s off-colour remarks on his show. But things have quieted down since Palin’s acceptance of his apology; that is, until now.
Linda Kellen Biegel, a liberal Alaskan blogger, put her children back in the spotlight but this time, the focus was on Palin’s special needs child, Trig, who suffers from Down Syndrome.
A blogger who supports the Alaskan Democratic Party, Biegel superimposed a photo of Alaskan conservative radio host Eddie Burke over baby Trig’s face.
In a statement to CNN, Palin spokeswoman, Meghan Stapelton said: “Recently we learned of a malicious desecration of a photo of the Governor and baby Trig that has become an iconic representation of a mother’s love for a special needs child. The mere idea of someone doctoring the photo of a special needs baby is appalling.”
She also implied Obama set an example for his party by speaking out against this type of behavior.
“Babies and children are off limits. It is past time to restore decency in politics and real tolerance for all Americans. The Obama Administration sets the moral compass for its party. We ask that special needs children be loved, respected and accepted and that this type of degeneracy be condemned.”
Beigel claims the photo was intended to make fun of Burke and not baby Trig; however, she has made clear her disdain of Palin in the past. Earlier this month, she filed a complaint against the Governor because she wore a jacket that sponsored her husband, a snow mobile racer. Obviously, the ridiculous complaint was dismissed.
Note: I refuse to post Beigel's scandalous photo but check out the beautiful face of Baby Trig above.

Sometimes, I just think liberals are the lowest form of animal life. It just shows how afraid the libs are of Palin. They know how much more experienced she is than Obama, and smarter she is than Biden (but then, how hard is that?).
Heather, thanks for letting the general public know what a classy bunch the leftists are. So thoughtful and heartfelt. Why, just last night Dear Leader talked about "giving" everyone galactic health care but mostly suggested "taking a pain pill" (and dying already.)
BTW, I think you meant "borne" in your first sentence, as in past tense of "bear."

<strong>EVERYONE THAT'S INTERESTED IN HOLDING SARAH PALIN ACCOUNTABLE SHOULD DONATE TO LINDA KELLEN BIEGEL! READ ALL ABOUT IT HERE:

This article shows quite a bit of bias and a noticable lack of journalistic integrity.
It should be pointed out here that Linda Biegel does not just support the Democrat party she is the Official DNC Blogger for Alaska, and her website is advertised on the AK Democratic Party's site. To me that indicates that the Dem Party actually sanctions, and encourages these kinds of vile attacks.
This is disgusting that this woman would make fun of a little disabled baby like this. This woman has no concept of basic human decency. I don't care how far left you are...I don't care how much you may hate another person...it is beneath contempt for civilized adults to ridicule a handicapped child.
By the way, Linda Biegel (the Celtic Diva) is part of the left-wing nut jobs that are filing frivolous claims against Gov. Palin (Biegel filed a claim against Sarah because she wore Todd's Arctic Cat coat when it was cold...it was deemed ridiculous..."asinine" and quickly dismissed.
The photo is not about Trig, but Palin's relationship with Burke....has Palin seen the internet?? There are thousands of photoshopped pictures, she's not that special. Palin has cried foul way too many times, she's tabloid fodder, not even a lightweight in the political arena, give it up....
Good lord, people, beginning with Sarah Palin, are stupid. This has nothing to do with the child. But Palin seems to think the only way to keep herself in the spotlight is to come across as a whiny idiot. Good call.
Have you actually seen a picture of Beigel? Gawd!!! It should be more like Beagle...the woman is grotesque in more ways than one!
She made herself a walking punchline and thrust her children into the spotlight with her, making them targets as well. This had nothing to do with Trig being disabled, she's just trying to bring more attention to herself! Maybe if she didn't exploit him it never would have happened. You want to help your special needs child Sarah? Stay home and keep him out of the public eye - she's a politician, she can't be THAT naive. It's not like they put a picture of Corky from Life Goes On over his face.
Yes, I am afraid of Palin, I'm TERRIFIED of the idea that this CRAZY woman who is too ignorant to believe in evolution and too religious to support women's rights and so cruel that she would take away funding for rape victims might actually be a candidate for PRESIDENT!!!
@Jenn, you are spot on with your comments. I wonder if the people who post propaganda like this really are too ignorant to see the truth, and also if they have thought about the consequences of trying to turn this Republic of ours into a theocracy.
Yes, Biegel was making fun of Burke and not Trig. HOWEVER what if this was a pic that replaced an Obama daughter with someone else? Just imagine the fallout. The hatred towards Palin is astounding - in direct proportion to the worship of everything Obama (Michelle is gorgeous with brilliant fashion sense!, Obama kills a fly!, etc.) On the other hand we have Palin cast as the "slutty fight attendant", "she's only attractive by political standards, not Hollywood standards" etc. Check out her life, what she's done, don't get sound-bites from the mainstream media!
It is revealing how the anti-Palin commenters always resort to the same themes, i.e. SP is dumb, deserves what she gets, tabloid fodder, etc. These responders do not want to address any substance, such as the fact that Sarah Palin cut her state budget by 30% while maintaining a rainy day fund of more than $7 billion. Barack Obama could learn much from Gov. Palin about executive leadership. No, based on the quality of the anti-Palin responders at this and other news stories I am convinced that these adolescent comments are driven by uneducated members of left-wing organizations who have made it their mission to attack Sarah Palin because she is in effect the anti-Obama, that is, a staunch advocate of strong national defense, fiscal responsibility, small businesses, low taxes, and small government. All of which is anathema to labor unions, welfare recipients, and those with limited education who depend on a nanny state. Here's a little newsflash! Barack Obama is a one-termer.
Liberals have the nerve to say that conservatives are the "hate mongers". All the evidence of hate mongering and hate speech points to liberals instead.
Sarah Palin Obsession Disorder Syndrome is a sad sight to be watch. Sarah Palin has done nothing at all to warrant this mentally unstable hatred towards her. She never claimed to be anything special, hell she even said that much. The problem is that the people that have this fanatic cult like worship of Obama fear and will lash out at anyone they perceive as being a threat to him. It looks like Palin is that person. Going after an infant is beyond low. I could never do something like that. I actually have respect for myself. Politics or ideology doesn't warrant the attack of an innocent child and in this case an infant child with special needs. This is the dark side of hate. I'm just glad I have no part in it.
Jenn and Bill, FYI.
(1) Sarah Palin does, in fact, believe in evolution. She has stated this repeatedly. Her father was a high school science teacher who taught evolution.
(2) She is an unapologetic supporter of women's rights, two days ago she signed domestic violence legislation expanding state and local task force to combat domestic violence and sexual abuse.
(3) She did not "take away funding for rape victims" Perhaps what you mean is that she was accused of cutting funding for "rape kits" used by police departments. Factcheck.org has investigated this and found that "Charlie Fannon, Wasilla police chief, had billed women and their insurance companies for these tests rather than placing burden on taxpayers." Sarah Palin is quoted as saying she "does not believe, nor has she ever believed, that rape victims should have to pay for an evidence-gathering test."
Quite telling that in Palin's "iconic photo of a mother's love for a special needs child", she's holding the child turned around so that it's facing the camera, not her.
Thank you for recognizing the beauty of people with Down syndrome. I don't get Biegel's logic of "making fun of Burke and not baby Trig." How does this not cast a negative slant on Trig? I would like to add...not as a criticism...from my personal experience, people don't "suffer" from Down syndrome. Again, that's not a criticism. The people with Down syndrome I've met are not suffering at all...;)
All you Palin haters must really fear her. You think child abuser Ltterman is your pal? I feel sorry for his slut wife and mostly for his bastard child. You libs think you will win by descrating a special needs miracle? Good luck with that! You're the people that voted in that Kenyan usurper into our WHITE house! Stop attacking America, you destroyers of freedom!
By attaching her famous name to Biegels narrowly read and largely un-heard of blog, Palin has intentionally taken this image from the obscure mini-blogosphere of the most secluded state in the U.S. and brought it to the attention of the world. So now, this image and Sarahs protestations are appearing on millions of monitors around the world.
I am sickened by the way she will do ANYTHING to remain in the media. This manufactured outrage is just another example of her narcissism and crass opportunism.
The way this woman politicize everything involving her children is disgusting. According to Sarah, it is President Obama's fault that Letterman told a joke about her daughter (abstinence poster child for soft-porn company Candies); it is President Obama's fault that a blogger altered a photo of her with her special needs child. Someone needs to inform this woman that she is NOT the President and that for years many, many people have raised children with special needs (Trig is not the first).
Don't be silly. The image is clearly about Eddie Burke and Palin, not Trig, despite the Governor's attempt to divert public attention from investigation of her legal and ethical improprieties.
The Governor's heavy-handed efforts to manage the press are curious, since she herself has a degree in journalism. Then again, Mrs. Palin had to go to five colleges to get it, so maybe she flunked the course about that.
Sarah Palin's only non-political private sector employment was as a reporter for an Alaska newspaper and TV station, so her attacks on reporters are even more absurd.

It is so obvious. Liberals call the right a bunch of hate war mongers. The left consistently displays their hate. The difference between the left and the right is the left like to mouth off then hide behind their mics, cameras and websites. The right is willing to state the facts then meet anyone face to face to discuss. The left are nothing but a bunch of chickens.
what will it take to make her go away 4 ever
The Lesson: Women, don't have a kid when you're 45. Your eggs are too old so the chance of creating a kid disabled by DS is high. But if you choose to do this and the kid is born with DS, admit it was your fault. Don't put the responsibility on "God." That's just ignorant.
C Craig, you are an idiot. Old eggs? Having a baby with DS can happen to anyone. We certainly do not choose it, but are blessed nonetheless.
