If you listen to her, she states that in California she can only use one of six insurance companies while there are over 1000 in the U.S. I used to work for an insurance company and I can vouch that a big problem they had was being able to offer the same plans to many states.

She should also understand that Congress has protected the insurers by giving them an antitrust exemption that has been in place for a very long time. Changes are coming. The Dems play dirty and they are about to get back at the insurance companies for not playing along.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NE), Senate Judiciary Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-VT), and Democratic Caucus Chairman Chuck Schumer (D-NY) are now poised to let the wolves go after the insurance industry with antitrust regulation. Those same antitrust laws that apply to virtually any other business in America.
