Former Governor Sarah Palin is once again crisscrossing America, this time to promote her new book "Going Rogue: An American Life." Judging by the huge crowds lining up at the book stores for a chance to meet her, she is fast becoming a political rock star. As the debates on the economy, jobs, health care reform, government spending, terrorist trials, and the Afghan War heat up-and the President's poll numbers head south-her timing couldn't be better.
Not everyone, however, is happy to see her take center stage once again. Many liberals and left wing media pundits have been downright apoplectic about her return, and have proceeded to demonize her the same way they demonized the Tea Party protesters. That is why Governor Palin is rapidly gaining traction with the Tea Party movement. They both are learning with media persecution comes growing popularity among voters.
Common cause dictates that Governor Palin and the Tea Party movement join forces before the 2010 elections, becoming one of the most formidable and potent political forces in American politics to date. When that happens, she will most certainly be the Republican nominee in 2012. As the Obama administration starts to wear thin over time with more and more Americans, what's not so certain is who will be the Democratic nominee for 2012. The rumblings in Democratic circles will only grow louder after the 2010 mid-term elections-destined to be known as the Republican "landslide" of 2010.

Sarah Palin, an almost one-time Govenor has very limited credibility or appeal in the Republican Party.
She could never win against Obama in 2012. Many Republicans and a majority of Democrats will not vote for her.
The problem? Her intellectual and political experience and abilities will not significantly change in 2 years.
Palin is going to be the keynote speaker at the First National TEA Party Convention in Nashville in February 2010.
Kyle, your post is duly noted as being nothing more than one man's opinion, and having no more significance, or carrying any more weight than is normally given to any one specific opinion. Besides it was all mindlessly parroted from the liberal MSM.
Um, Kyle, get a grip.
Fifteen months of liberal excoriation of her experience and capabilities have not dented her popularity and support one iota. In fact, during that time, her popularity and political gravitas has grown in inverse proportion to Obummer's.
Don't you know the definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing and expect different results? Better try a different strategy, pal, lest you confirm our sneaking suspicions regarding your mental health!
Have a nice day!
O.B.:
Notwithstanding her popularity among Evangelical Christians, she will not garner widespread support among a majority of Republicans and she won't break into Obama's following.
Palin is a bad investment because she has no expertise or enough experience. The arguments she made against Obama's experience will come right back to haunt the almost one-term Governor.
Palin might be the next Glenn Beck or Ann Coulter but she'll never become the Republican nominee or the next President in 2012.
Palin needs more time to prove her knowledge and skills and to gain more experience.
She "might" could be a candidate in 2016 or 2020. She has a lot of work to do and issues to catch up on. Writing an autobiography does not qualify.
At this point, she's ready for "smiles" in front of the camera but not ready for tough questions from Americans or from the media, and certainly not ready to make policy.
Sarah is a pretty-faced Christian gal, but she's not ready for the Presiden
Several people have noted that there is a lot of hatred for Palin. They're right, of course. I don't know why people feel so strongly about her, and I don't particularly care.
The bottom line is that she has yet to posit a coherentmuch less worthwhileset of policy objectives.
Until she does (and I'm not holding my breath), her admirers will continue to admire her for her personal traits and the slogans she throws around so loosely, and her detractors will continue to seize on her more boneheaded statements and construct straw man (straw woman?) arguments accordingly.
It doesn't say much for the state of our political discourse.
Ah remember when....

Regarding Palin and the Tea Party "movement," the writer states: "They both are learning with media persecution comes growing popularity among voters."
Starting with her acceptance speech at the RNC convention, Palin's entire schtick is that she's a victim of the media. This does not translate into the kind of popularity that wins elections, as Americans generally don't elect whining quitters to be their President.
As for the Tea Partiers, you've gotten more media coverage than you deserve considering you are basically an astroturf creation of the GOP, who cleverly redirected your sore grapes resentment that they lost the election. And you know it. In fact, most of you will continue to vote the straight GOP ticket no matter who is nominated.

Bickering Fictional Factions Each Write their Official Sarah Palin Handbook
Josiah Frumpacker, co-founder of the Sarah Palin Admiration Society, was none to pleased when his main squeeze and Sarah Palin lookalike, Anita Mandelay, dumped him for a younger man. To make matters worse, Anita and her new man, Thor Pickelberry, absconded with Sarah Palin trade secrets and formed their own group competing group: The Sarah Palin Admiration and Salvation Society. Thor, who is not what Eastern intellectual snobs might call a scholar nevertheless knows when he sees a good business opportunity..
So Anita and Thor together decided to hop on the Sarah Palin celebrity gravy train and share their inside scoop about the inner workings of the Sarah Palin Alaska machine. in the form of a new book entitled: Sarah Palin: Going Bogus. (www.GoingBogus.com)
Have you people not read her op-eds, and her policy statements? I think you have. But if you don't agree with a policy then you decide that it doesn't exist, that it was never stated, or it was, in your favorite meaningless term in regards to Palin --- "incoherent nonsense".
In contrast, before Obama was elected he had no policy whatever except for some undefined "change". But you ignored that and voted for a "pig in a poke" anyway. It's self evident that you Palin-haters have been blinded by hatred. You have all gone bonkers.
Sarah is the darling of the Tea Party crowd. At the 912 Rally in Washington DC, there were nearly 2 million people, and while few politicians were even allowed to attend, posters of Sarah were everywhere.
For those that think Sarah doesn't have the "experience" get a grip. Sarah has two decades of chief executive experience.
Before becoming the most successful, highest rated Governor in America, Sarah was the chief energy and environmental regulator in the state. One of the most powerful positions in Alaska, a state that lives and dies with energy, and the protection of the environment.
We haven't had a President since Reagan with her qualities, abilities, and experience. In fact, if you look at not only her experience, but the scope of her job as Governor of Alaska, she has far more experience and accomplishments than Bill Clinton had when he first became POTUS. From the size of Alaska's budget and number of employees, to her foreign trade experience, she tops pre-prez Bill
The Tea party is not the Republican Party. Both are conservative parties but maintaining shades of gray in that fact will provide the coup that failed in the 60's with Goldwater. These patriot parties have many names, but all have roots in the Birchers. Pushing the right farther to the right and keeping the fog of indeterminate party lines is a Leninist coup: They should be called the Malcontent party. Lenin loved the French Revolution and this TEA party group is threatening a bullet box over the ballot box.
It won't work out and the Republican will spit the vote with the TEA party. They are two distinct identities as registered in Florida. You only help support the myth that the right is unified in direction and demographics. The real and biggest political demographic are the malcontents.
I'm not sure why you teabaggers are proud of being teabaggers.
I'd put Palin's record up against Obama's anytime.
In 2 years, Palin fulfilled every campaign promise she made.
She cut the budget in Alaska by 9.5%.
She reduced her personal expenses by 80% from the previous governor.
She set up a rainy day savings fund which has helped the state weather the economic downturn.
She went after corruption and got the head of the Alaska GOP fined $12,000 for dirty dealings.
She refused a $25,000 pay increase because of the recession.
She stepped down when the harrassment ethics complaints cost the state $2 million dollars, with no end in sight. All charges have been dismissed.
Her record proves that she's all about small government and saving tax dollars.
Best of all, Palin thinks outside the box. She's a true "rogue" who doesn't like the political machine and is a strong supporter of the Constitution.
No wonder the left attacks her -- she will cut off their gravy train!
