Guide to Colorado TEA Parties on the Fourth of July

On the day we remember our nation’s declaration of independence from tyranny and oppressive government, a new breed of patriots will reconvene at public spaces around Colorado and the nation. While these new patriots may be attending the tea parties for varied reasons, the common thread bringing them together is the concept that our government’s power is derived from the people.

The impromptu grassroots events that sprouted up on April 15 this year reenergized many Coloradans. They banded together to ensure that their collective voice of dissatisfaction with the course being charted by our nation’s elected officials was heard loud and clear.

As the Democratic Party continues to leverage their unbridled control of the executive and legislative branches of government in Washington, D.C. and Colorado, these patriots are using our nation’s most cherished holiday to once again voice their dissatisfaction and, in some cases, outrage with the path our leaders have taken.

The dissatisfaction with decisions being made at the state and national levels has lifted Coloradans’ heads and perked their ears up. Whether it was the dramatic increase in fees on the state level (i.e., vehicle registration, hospital visits, and marriage licenses) or unprecedented federal bailouts and pork barrel spending, many Coloradans are frustrated and some have sought out the tea parties as a platform to voice their collective angst.

If you want attend a tea party this weekend, you can easily find a welcoming group of patriots at a location near you. Even though the list below is not a complete list of Colorado TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Parties, the guide will serve as starting point for you and your family to find an event to attend with other patriots on “National Freedom Day.”
