Congressman Trent Franks (House.gov)
During a town hall meeting Sunday, Congressman Trent Franks (R-Ariz.) stated that there was not sufficient proof that Obama is not a born U.S. citizen. However, he also said that he had considered filing a lawsuit over the amount of conflicting evidence concerning Obama’s birth circumstances.
According to Politico.com, Rep. Franks recently stated that his threat to file a lawsuit was actually prior to the 2008 campaign, not recently.
This behavior is very peculiar because earlier in the summer, Rep. Franks stated:
“I believe Barack Obama was born in Hawaii, stayed within the United States and, therefore, is a constitutionally natural-born citizen of this country… My [Congressional] office did some in-depth research. And we found birth records in the newspapers in Hawaii that couldn’t possibly have been forged. That’s my perspective, that you can’t go back and rewrite those.”

there is nothing peculiar here. The only thing peculiar is that this man in the white house refuses to show something so simple as a REAL LONG FORM BIRTH CERTIFICATE which will prove if he was adopted, adopted abroad, born in hawaii or born abroad. When did America get so dumb that they don't care about this sort of stuff. The LibCommis are insane. They are pulling this country down to communism.

The media is just now beginning to look at this issue. They are woefully ignorant. There are many twists, turns, and traps in this story.
I have been researching this story for over a year. In the beginning I fell into several of the traps myself.
I honestly believe that I now know as much as anyone about what is true on this issue and what is not.

if obama was born in America, then why doesn't he show ANY relevent documents that would confirm this?
It no longer matters whether he was eligible now that he's president. Even if you could somehow prove he was ineligible to run, The only way to remove a sitting president is impeachment, which requires a 2/3's majority in both houses. To remove Obama would require that half of all elected democrats and all Republicans join to vote him out. There's absolutely no chance of that happening. (Maybe you should have spoken more nicely to liberals). Obama will remain as president as long as Democrats want him to be. We hold ALL the cards in this game. But birthers will continue on because it makes them feel empowered. I sympathize. I felt the same way when Bush was president.

Given there's zero chance of any consequence related to his place of birth, I don't believe Obama's trying to hide anything. Most birthers are expecting him to dive into his baby box and pull out the "legitimate certificate". Ironically, what they consider the real birth certificate is not acceptable for proving citizenship. It's a "commemorative" document only, certainly more subject to alteration than the COLB issued by the state, which is why you can't get a passport with it. (Or prove eligibility to run for president)
I have to show a birth certificate for any number of reasons. Why does Obama get a pass on that requirement from the Press? They are 'in the tank' and have become "State-run Media". We are in deep trouble when the Press have thrown in with the rulers to control us, their new Enemy. No wonder the price of ammo is through the roof.

It is Obama's burden of proof to show to the proper authorities (still waiting to hear who that is) that he is eligible to hold the office, not the rest of the country's responsibility to prove he is not eligible.

What absolute horse hockey! Up until all the Obama birth flap and cover-up, NATIVE Hawaiians had to produce a copy of the original long form to take part in state sponsored "NATIVE" (meaning indigenous Polynesian people) programs. The "COLB" was not considered sufficient proof of who they were. Same thing for any job with "Homeland Security". What a joke. We can't even keep an illegal alien from becoming "POTUS".
