Valentine’s Day has become one of the busiest days for restaurants and hotels, finding a great place to spend the evening can be tough. Having a perfect evening with your sweetie takes a little pre-planning.
The Kansas City metropolitan area provides a ton of great restaurants and hotels that will sure enough make for a fantastic evening with your Valentine.
Restaurant Suggestions
801 Chophouse provides a great place to try the finest and freshest meats, seafood, and vegetables. The restaurant is set in a late 1920’s New York City steak house interior with leather booths, cherry wood furnishings, wooden floors, granite counter tops and high ceilings accentuated with dramatic lighting. There are currently two locations in the KC metro area; Leawood, Kansas in Park Place, and the other located downtown Kansas City in the Power & Light District.
Bristol Seafood Grill has a great location in the Power and Light District; here the restaurant provides a great romantic atmosphere. There’s an amazing fire place with adequate lighting that will set the evening up right. Bristol Seafood is known as being an upscale seafood restaurant offering nothing by the freshest fish, premium steaks, and great cocktails and wine. Besides the restaurant located downtown, there’s another location in Leawood, Kansas.
Blue Koi has two great locations in the Kansas City area, Midtown and Leawood, Kansas. Blue Koi’s known for their assortment of flavored Bubble Teas along with its noodles and dumplings. While enjoying the dinner options, it would be a great idea to try their trademark Bubble tea, which is a unique blend of ice, milk, tea, and tapioca pearls.
Hotel Suggestions
Aloft Leawood offers a romantic Valentine’s package that includes: rates starting at $149 per night in a king loft-inspired guestroom, bouquet of flowers, and a bottle of champagne. You can book your reservation online, or call 866-716-8143 and use code VDAY to receive the special offer.
Hotel Phillips located downtown Kansas City offers a couple options for Valentine’s that includes: Breakfast in Bed - rates starting at $179 per night and comes with complimentary valet parking, and a $35 food and beverage credit to 12 Baltimore. The Romance package starts at $229 per night and comes with red, white or sparkling wine, chocolates, floral arrangements, complimentary valet parking, and a $50 food and beverage credit.
It’s suggested that you call and make reservations as soon as possible with the restaurant and hotel to ensure that you have a spot booked for this special evening.
