Fern Cohen was born in Brooklyn, raised in Long Beach, Long Island, and came to Rego Park in 1984, where she still resides. She has traveled the world during her 20-year airline career, and later taught public school. Rego Park has been home for almost three decades. She can be seen checking out restaurants, stores, and other attractions in Rego Park, or reading in a local park. Fern is fluent in Spanish and French.
