'Twilight Saga: New Moon' premiere sets in Westwood

Last night, the New Moon finally came out for the premiere of "Twilight Saga: New Moon." As fans lined up the streets of Westwood starting last Thursday, their saga of seeing the stars of the movie walk down the red carpet came to fruition as the carpet opened with Alice Greczyn of the tv show "Privileged" walked the carpet in a bright red dress. There were some screams for her which would set the tone for the premiere.

Surprisingly, the screams from this premiere were a bit subdued than the last premiere. This reporter can remember that the original "Twilight" premiere had screaming fans non-stop for three hours. Boy was I wrong. As soon as the talent from the film started arriving, the wave of shouts and screams became louder from the hunky wolf pack to the big three, Westwood became the loudest place to be in the Los Angeles area. When the hunks of the wolf pack began showing up such as Kiowa Gordon, Brandon Pelletier and Cheske Spencer, the screams got louder.

Of course as soon as it was announced by KIIS FM's JoJo that Taylor, Rob and Kristen were about to walk the carpet, it was time to put on ear plugs. Once Rob came through, the screams got so loud, one would've thought it may drown out a jet plane passing through the area. Girls were jumping up and down screaming with a few having tears roll down their eyes. We haven't seen this much craziness for celebrities since the last "Twilight" premiere.

Taylor Lautner also caused a commotion as he showed up on the carpet. This reporter still can remember when this young man was just a 13 yr old kid in "Shark Boy and Lava Girl." Interestingly, out of the three big stars of the film, Lautner was the best to pose for the cameras. Giuliana Rancic mentioned to this reporter's affiliate Pacific Rim Video that Taylor is great because he took his time to interview with the majority of the video outlets except when his handlers took him away for the start of the film. One photographer on the line has a cousin that goes to the same Christian church as Lautner and mentioned that Lautner is the real deal, a nice guy that will talk to everyone around and is very polite.

Elizabeth Reaser had a slight starstuck moment. While signing autographs, she paused and mouthed, "Really!" as KIIS FM's JoJo announced that Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy just showed up. Reaser was looking lovely in her biege bandage looking dress. I think I remember Carla Gugino wearing the same type of dress a while ago at a premiere.

Kellan Lutz was great. He plucked a young girl out of the crowd and walked her on the carpet then to the movie theater. This guy seems so genuine with his fans.

The highlight for this photographer was to see the cast of "Glee" walk the carpet. However, favorite Dianna Agron was no where to be found. We had to settle for Lea Michele. It was a bit hard to get her to crack a smile for the cameras as she only would do simple smiles. However, I finally got her to give a smile with teeth as I yelled, "Come on Lea. Give us that singing diva smile!" She looked the side and finally showed the pearly whites. Okay, I lied, I was more floored as Joan Jett came down the carpet. I don't know what it was but Joan just exuded total legendary rocker status and this reporter fell for it because "I Love Rock n Roll!"

"Twilight Saga: New Moon" opens nationwide this Friday.
