Kellie Pickler and the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition crew / ABC
Kellie Pickler, former American Idol and now country singer, joined the crew of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition for Sunday's episode. Kellie said she enjoyed helping to build a new home for the family, and was able to use the electrical skills her grandfather taught her.
"I can actually wire a house. I started wiring when I was 5 years old. I would crawl under the house and run wires," Pickler told the Tennessean. "I grew up in the country, so the women had to know how to fix things as much as the men."
Kellie also said that demolishing the families old house was one of her favorite parts. "It was the only chance I've ever had to walk into a house with a sledge hammer and bust holes in walls."

Sirs, My sister Billie Myers has been diagnosed with lypodema and weighs 650 lbs. She most recently went into the hospital in Syracuse to help her. This disease runs in our family. It is where fluid collects into the lymph system and can't leave the body therefore the body swells to ungodly proportions and eventually she may get congentital heart failure. Today she is doing better and they are taking some of the water off. She has a daughter that has cerebral palsy. She(Tammy) has since stayed at home to help her mom and has not gone to college yet. Her husband works at a small store that does electronics and is unable to make the house liveable for her as when she returns home she will be in a wheel chair and not be able to walk. Their home is not in great condition and they are in dyer need to have a change. We love our sister very much. There are 7 children in our family and Billie is in the middle. Beverly, Barbara, Beata,Brenda, Billie, Brian and Bonnie are our names.315-778-4699
