Kelly and Aaron react as the judges reveal their decision / ABC
Kelly Osbourne narrowly avoided elimination last night in a dance off against singer Aaron Carter. As Aaron was eliminated, he received a heart-felt speech from Len Goodman:
You're an inspiration to all young people that anything is possible,' he said. 'If you were my son I would be so proud of you. But more important, you be proud of yourself, because you've been great.
Susan Boyle also performed on the show last night. Sharon Osbourne, who usually is in the audience to watch daughter Kelly, was absent--avoiding a show down between herself and Susan. Earlier, Sharon had made comments about Susan, calling her a "hairy a***hole' who had been hit by the 'ugly stick...You just want to say God bless — and here’s a Gillette razor." Sharon later apologized, saying "Susan Boyle is a lovely gracious woman and I took advantage of that by poking fun at her...I would never want to be responsible for hurting Susan and I must apologise for getting a cheap laugh at her expense."
Kelly found herself in the bottom two, even after receiving her highest scores on Monday night's performance. She had received praise from the judges for her impressive sixties-themed jive. Bruno said: "Groovy baby. Come back to daddy. That was great. It was jiving all the way down to Carnaby Street, Mary Quant, Austin Powers..."
Dancing with the Stars returns next week on ABC Monday and Tuesday night.
