'The Biggest Loser: Couples' 2010 winner Michael Ventrella who had a starting weight of 526 pounds and lost a total of 264 pounds won the $250,000 grand prize, beating out Daris and Ashley in an amazing 'Biggest Loser' 2010 finale. Michael Ventrella was the heaviest contestant to ever join 'The Biggest Loser,' breaking more than one 'Biggest Loser' record, including breaking the record of last season's 'Biggest Loser' winner Danny Kahlil.
Shay Sorrels was also brought back to the finale. Shay Sorrels weighed 476 pounds when she began on 'The Biggest Loser' last season and took on a challenge from Subway for every pound lost she would receive $1000. Shay lost 52 pounds since last season earning her $52,000, however when the spokesperson for Subway, Jared, came out to present the check he left it blank and stated, "We have a new challenge for you, at the end of this year we will complete a marathon together and we will double this check." Shay very happily took on her new challenge.

'The Biggest Loser' $100,000 winner for the biggest percentage of weight lost at home was Koli with a starting weight of 402, a total weight loss of 188 pounds and a total percentage of body weight loss of 53.35%.

They all looked amazing and it would have been great if any of the top 3 won as they all worked hard and deserved to be proud of their accomplishements.
I have watched several seasons of TBL and try not to develop favorites, but Michael Ventrella had me from episode one. From the get-go he had looks and personality to spare and I am so happy that - ultimately - he was the winner. Daris had winning ways too, and equal congratulations to him as well as to Ashley.
So very happy that Michael won! My husband and I have watched this season religiously. We admired and enjoyed so many but found Michael to be so bright (and humorous) but trapped by his weight. When he won this evening, we recalled one of the first episodes where he was "goofing off" in the gym and Bob had to tell him to straighten up! He is warm and caring, charming and very grateful for all TBL has done for him! Congratulations Michael! We are so proud of and happy for you!

Love the show. Koli was one of my favorites but somewhere along the journey he developed an attitude. Which is why I think he didn't get voted into the final 3. He could have won.
What??? Michael won? sorry, NOT my fav! I wanted Ashley or Darris to win. They were the ones with the good personality and deserved the title. So glad Koli won the at home group. But would have liked to see him in the final 3. Not the outcome I had hoped for all along.

When I first started watching this season, I didn't think that Michael had it in him. Although, he turned things around and really became an inspiration. It is AWESOME that he was able to prove to himself that he really could accomplish his goals.
Not the out come I wanted to see. Michael was ok but I just loved Ashley and Daris. Ashley is so pretty and seems so sweet.
I liked all of them but really wanted to see Koli win it. O well, he was "The Biggest Loser" with how much weight he lost. They all looked great. I can't believe how good Ashley's mom looked!

I was just SPEECHLESS when Michael came out - I thought he looked greatin last weeks show but at the finale - he is just Awesome - He given me the greatest inspiration to get my health back and my goal it to be able to run on a treadmill and run a marathon, I have no excuse after seeing Michael -- MICHAEL YOU DESERVE IT -Congrats to Ashely and Darius - it was great they ended in the top three - these were my favorites !!! There were so many inspiring and awesome contestants this season! They are all winners, and I appreciate how they supported each other! Congratulations to them all!! LOL, I think I have shed tears with all of them! : )
I am glad that Michael won. They all do look good. They helped me to want to lose the wieght also. I am really happy that no one in the red team won.
Anyone else notice that in the pic of the 4 above, Michael looks nothing like he did in the final? He looks much heavier while the other 3 look like they did on the final. Somethings definately weird there!

Coli was robbed. He should have won. America shouldn't have been allowed to decide. He did the work and it was unfair that the cry baby Daris was voted in. NOT FAIR!!!!
I think all of the contestants were winners.. They all look great. I am happy that the final 3 were Ashley, Mike and Daris. It truly didn't matter which on of them won. I also think Mike should ask Ashley out. I honestly thought he was going to give Ashley the white rose.
Koli got what more than what he deserved. He was the most arrogant person on there. I'm glad he wasn't in the final 3. The others left the ranch and went home with their families and worked their butts off to get where they were last night. Not Koli, he couldn't go home, he had to go to TX to get a trainer so he could win - HU, you didn't win. He looked aweful last night. Next year we'll see him back and gaurantee he'll have most of his weight back on. Once he gets home with his family he won't be able to keep it up, that's why he couldn't stay home the first time.
Congrat's to Mike! I was pulling for him since week 3 or so. I didn't give him a snowballs chance of staying on campus the whole time, much less winning the show! He got focuses and applied himself. Koli deserves a lot of credit too. He really looked good but didn't look all that happy to me. I hope he's not too let down for "only" winning $100k. He should be very happy. He's got his life back AND a little cash to play with. Everyone did well. Congrat's to all but especially Mike.
Koli is the Biggest Loser. He lost the biggest percentage of weight. He has every right to be arrogant. When you give it everything you have every day it will pay off. I am glad he won the $100,000 and Daris walked away with nothing. If anyone puts the weight back on it will be Daris. Koli you have my vote. Find what it takes within you to maintain your weight loss. Good luck. I wish the Biggest Loser show did not have all the game playing and the popularity contest.
I am glad Koli didn't win. I like Koli and Sam until the week that Sam and Michael were below the yellow line. Sam had admitted that he had already reached his goal, but said he needed to stay on the ranch more than Michael. HOW SELFISH!!!! He said it wasn't about the money. BULL! The only reason he had for staying on the ranch was the money. He is a liar and is selfish. That totally changed my opinion of both of them because Koli voted for Sam and agreed with him. I am so glad America saw that and voted for Daris as the 3rd contestant. Also, did anyone notice that Michael's stomach was unusually flat for having lost that much weight. I am really wondering if he had a tummy tuck during his few weeks at home. It is hard to imagine that someone weighing 526 with such a large stomach could make it so flat...just an observation.
I loved seeing Michael and Ashley's struggle with their weight/\. I am so happy that they were the 2 biggest losers. They both deserved to win. I think they should go out they would make a great couple and keep each other on track, just like others have done after the show.

I really enjoyed watching the finals. I thought, though, that there was something going on with Koli; he was looking strange. I love Daris and am proud of his accomplishments. But Michael was awesome and the rightful winner.
First of all, to the person who was asking if Michael had a tummy tuck, that was a very obnoxious comment. Michael has worked very hard to get where he is today, and I seriously doubt he's had a tummy tuck. He was probably wearing a binder to keep the excess skin in check until he reaches his total goal weight. Koli didn't deserve to win squat. He and his cousin who enjoyed pointing fingers at other's about "playing games" were the biggest "players" this season. They were total out and out jerks! Almost as bad as Melissa.
I was also very disappointed in Shay and her Subway offer. Her weight loss was very disappointing.

That was so unfair for Kohli!!!! Uggghhh. He should have won. I was rooting for Daris after Sunshine left, but he gained those two pounds. Congrats to mike, but Kohli technically won. Cry baby Daris!!!

Last week's show was taped sometime previously, so there was a gap before last night's live show. That's why Michael looked so different last night. If you noticed, Ashley looked more "cut" and lean too. And Koli almost looked sick he had lost so much weight. They kept referring to "7 months ago" as the beginning of all this. If that's the case, then last week's show had to have been in late February or early March. So they still had two or three months to get ready for the finale.

I can't believe some of the comments here - struggling with losing and keeping weight off is very trying and can make some people very emotional - guys included! So to call Darris a crybaby and to say he will be the first to gain it all back is the kind of negativity that Darris and anybody else that hangs around your pessimistic attitude should ignore and avoid!! I'm glad America chose him because he did go home - you can tell Koli has not yet been home and therefore did not have to deal with those stresses yet -but he did lose the most and deserves the prize he got!! Good luck to them all and thank you for a great season of inspiration. Michael - you are HILARIOUS!!!! Had me laughing the whole time. They all deserve the best!
I worried about Koli because he seemed less and less happy, and more and more driven. Sunshine was the best, I thought, and so was her dad. A classy family. Darius was a disapointment so I hope the best for him as he carries on. Best wishes to all of them for sharing their sorrows and body pictures with us all.
Did anyone else get tired of all of the shots of Michael talking during this Loser season? Every show had him speaking multiple times. Got very old!!! Nearly made me stop watching. I said nearily!
Way to go Michael I knew he would win! He consistently reached milestones episode after episode and always kept that smile. A big congratulations to all the competitors on this last season.

I'm glad that Michael won. I have a friend who lost 150 lbs and has been able to maintain her weight now at 131. she will be the first to tell you it's the battle of her life, and so it is for all of these constants. I say that they are all winners but I did get tired of the cousins hanging together and also Sunshine and her dad. Michael did it on his own he deserved to win. You go Michael!

everyone was all right to be,Koli and Micheal was not selfish it was all about the person wanted to win. when you look back when they frist got to the ranch it was everyone for themselve, but Sun Shine and her father were all ways together and Sam and Koli was each other stregth, Sun Shine And her father,Sam Koli love could see the love they had for each other. they were happy for each othe,when Sam Gave Koli that hug when he won, he could have said,it should have been me, Koli Sam an Sun Shine, Oneil this is not the last that we will see you ,you will help someone eles and give them hope that they can do it.just like you four did God bless everyone that was on the biggest loser, I will be praying for you that you will keep it off.Now you are coiming to the real world again.you will not have someone tell you what you are doing wrong.I feel that you four well carry what you got from the ranch, and your heart and mind.
