NBC

On Tuesday night’s episode of “The Biggest Loser” fan favorite Abby Rike took one for her team and asked to be eliminated by her fellow teammates. “The Biggest Loser” contestant Abby Rike stated, “She had accomplished what she needed…I’m going to live and just not exist.” While Rudy broke “The Biggest Loser” record for more pounds lost in the shortest amount of time during face-off week.

'The Biggest Loser' Abby Rike's new beginning

“The Biggest Loser” began with a challenge between the blue and black team in which the winning team of the limbo-type challenge got to choose who they would be facing off against during the weigh-in at the end of the show, the blue team won yet another challenge. Rebecca chose Amanda, Tracey chose Abby, Allen chose Danny, Rudy chose Shay, and Liz chose Daniel.

The next challenge was a bit of a cheat to fans as Derek Jeter appeared on “The Biggest Loser” but, on videotape. The contestants had to pick up 2,535 baseballs, which happened to be the number of hits Derek Jeter made last season. Then they had to throw the baseballs at life-sized pictures of the contestants on the opposing team. The first team to get 316 baseballs thrown at all of the opposing teams pictures (Derek's career batting average) won a lunch prepared by celebrity chef Curtis Stone and a two-pound advantage at the weight -in. The Black team finally used some strategy and won.

Jillian Michaels was definitely getting ready for her new reality TV show as she was getting to the root of “The Biggest Loser” contestants weight gain. In a dramatic scene between Jillian and Amanda, in which Amanda actually left the gym stating, she just doesn’t want to be known as the girl with the pretty face to pushing Shay to her limit by bringing up her childhood and her mothers heroin addiction, in an attempt to heal Shay’s inner child.

The last chance work-out came to an even more dramatic end as Jillian sat down with Abby Rike and asked her about the tragic car accident which killed her husband and two small children. Abby stated, “She has learned to love people again,” “I’m going to live and not just exist” which brought the ever tough Jillian to tears.

At the weight-in the blue and black team were up against their face-off week opponents, with each team member scoring a point for the most percentage lost. Rebecca and Amanda were up first, Amanda using the black team’s 2 pound advantage, Amanda lost only 4 pounds (6 with the advantage) and Rebecca lost an amazing 9 pounds. Next up was Tracey and Abby Rike, Tracey lost 5 pounds, the first to break the 200 pound mark and Abby lost 3 pounds.

The blue team knew they were in trouble at this point, however Danny who has been pulling in double digits almost every week was up next against Allen. Danny weighted in first and lost and astonishing 12 pounds beating Allen’s 9 pounds. Next up was Liz and Daniel, with Daniel on the scale first only losing 5 pounds, leaving Jillian very puzzled, and Liz lost 7 pounds.

At this point the blue team had lost face-off week and knew they had to send someone home from their team, however Shay and Rudy were still left to weight-in and there was a record to be broken. Shay lost 9 pounds leaving the record breaking moment to Rudy who lost 14 pounds, having lost 101 pounds in only 7 weeks, breaking “The Biggest Loser” record.

As the blue team sat down to discuss the elimination Abby Rike told her teammates to vote for her as she stated she did not want to go home and leave her team, but knew she received what she came on “The Biggest Loser” for. In a very tearful elimination everyone respected Abby Rike’s wishes, except for Danny who voted for Daniel, and Abby was eliminated.
