Cycle 13 America's Next Top Model winner is . . .

Nicole Fox/CW

It seems like only yesterday Cycle 13 of America's Next Top Model began with the first ever cast of models who all measured in at 5'7" and under.  Week by week girls were sent home and now we are down to the final two - Nicole and Laura.  I asked readers to vote on who they thought would win and 75% said they thought Nicole would walk away with the top model crown.  Were they right?

On tonight's season finale, the final two battled it out in a CoverGirl commercial and photo shoot, a Seventeen Magazine photo shoot, and a fashion show.  Their first task was their CoverGirl commercial and photo shoot.  Cycle 12 winner, Teyona, joined the girls on set for a little inspiration.  Laura struggled with her commercial.  Her dyslexia caused her to stumble over the words and forget her lines.  On the bright side, she never allowed her mistakes to take away from her positive energy.  Way to go Laura! The judges had previously told Nicole that she lacked personality.  When she was shooting her commercial she struggled to appear personable and came across as snooty and privileged, things that did represent CoverGirl.  For their CoverGirl shoot, they were shot by ANTM judge, Nigel Barker. He said Nicole came to set ready to take a photo and she looked gorgeous.  Nigel wasn't as excited to shoot Laura.  When he asked her what she was thinking of to convey emotion, she said she was thinking of a milkshake.

From there it was on to their Seventeen Magazine shoot where they were photographed by famed photographer Gilles Bensimon.  Ann Shoket said both girls performed very well at the shoot and it was anyone's game.

The girls were going to have to work it out on the runway.  They rocked the runway and were joined by top model cast-offs Sundai, Jennifer, and Erin.  Laura took control of the runway as if she had been doing it for years.  Nicole's walk was a little awkward, but her confidence made it a signature walk.

Finally, all the competition had come to an end and it was time to find out who had won.  The first ever petite winner of America's Next Top Model is NICOLE!!

Like we didn't see that one coming.  Congratulations Nicole!

Yeah, I'm nicoles #1 Fan. From the moment I first saw her face, I knew she was going to win. She was born to model, even if she never knew it:-)
