Tori Spelling launches new web series based on book

Tori Spelling, certified super-mom and star of Oxygen's reality show Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, has just announced the launch of her new web series based on her book Mommywood. The series will delve deeper into Tori and Dean’s relationship and the issues they face as working parents living in the spotlight.

As reported by Entertainment Tonight, the 10 three-to-five minute webisodes will shed light on the joys and challenges of Tori and her husband, Dean McDermott, as they navigate through the trials and tribulations of being a parent in Hollywood. Some of these challenges include dealing with the paparazzi, first-time mom anxieties, losing the baby weight (and then some) and of course, Tori's often tumultuous relationship with her mother Candy Spelling. Each webisode will focus on a chapter from Mommywood.

“Our audience’s appetite for everything Tori seems limitless,” says Jason Klarman, General Manager, Oxygen Media. “So launching our first Web series based on one of her best selling books seemed like a no brainer.”

Tori also confirmed to In Touch Weekly that she will be releasing a children's book as well.

“I just wrote an illustrated children’s book. It’s going to be launching in about a year, but I just finished the text,” Tori proudly revealed at the EB Medical Research Foundation Picnic in Malibu on June 28.

New episodes of Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood air Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on Oxygen.

I adore Tori. She's ambitious, driven, intelligent, warm, and a fantastic Mom. She and I are ridculously alike by pushing ourselves to be super-mom - she's better at it though. I love her resiliance in any situation and she makes me want to be a better person and to experience even more in my life.

Candy Spelling ought to be ashamed of herself and I'm sure if her husband, who loved Tori to pieces were still alive, he would be ashamed of her also. You have a beautiful daughter with a heart that is so loving and full of grace. Apparently her nannies did a wonderful job of raising her and teaching her how to be a loving person. I'm certain that part of it came from her wonderful father, who never made her wonder whether he loved her or not. When your grandchildren are old enough to read, perhaps they can read your open letter to their mother and realize why they have don't have a realationship with their maternal grandmother. You act like her being on TV is a bad thing, yet I'm sure you have no problem sitting on the mountain of money that Aaron made from TV. Tori you have such a beautiful family and I'm honored that you share them with us.
