Posh spice wants to be a "moody cow" on 'Idol'

Victoria Beckham doesn't want us Americans getting any crazy ideas. You know, like thinking she's nice, or has a heart, or something. In fact, she told Idol host Ryan Seacrest on his radio show that while she's been elated, she's been trying really hard not to let it ruin her usual miserable scowl.

“When I got the phone call, I just couldn’t believe it. I feel like I got the best job that there is. I’m still grinning from ear to ear," Beckham said.

“I’m going to try hard to pout and not shatter the illusion that I’m a moody cow, but I don’t know if I can - I’m just so happy,” she added.

The former Posh Spice, 35, showed up at her first day of filming auditions in Denver on Friday, wearing a stunning purple dress and even shook hands with a fan on her way in! Beckham is reportedly getting paid $219,000 for her once-over cameo, a silly amount of money just to go somewhere and look bored.

So what kind of judge does Beckham want to be? Like Paula Abdul, of course!

Victoria told London's Daily Mail, “I want to be nice to people. I know how it feels to be stood there and be judged and how it can feel when nerves get the better of you. I don’t want to shatter anybody’s dream. But at the same time, there’s nothing wrong with a little bit of constructive criticism.”

And as far as sitting alongside the British King of Scowl himself, Simon Cowell, Victoria has a vendetta to settle.

“He is the only man in the music industry who turned down the Spice Girls and said that we would never work," she said. "I’m looking forward to a bit of banter."

As for feeling guilty about taking Paula's place, Victoria had this to say:

"You know, I don’t (feel guilty). I’m a spiritual person, and I believe you get back what you put out there.

“I hope she does something that’s bigger and better, and I hope she’s going to be happy. She’s great so she’s going to be good at whatever she does," she added.
