In the 2nd hour of tonight's 2-hour America's Next Top Model Premiere, the top 14 moved in to their new digs in Los Angeles. Amber, who was initially picked in the previous hour, wasn't there. I guess we now know why she wasn't listed when the top 14 was announced a few weeks back. Amber apparently backed out for personal reasons and Tyra brought in Lisa who was cut previously.
This episode started off right away with the girl's getting makeovers which usually can be very traumatic for at least one girl every season. Who would it be this season? Every girl seemed to like their makeovers in the beginning. Maybe everyone would just love their hair today? Or maybe not...
Featured Model: Bianca who already had her head shaved was the first to freak out as the bleached her eyebrows. Yep, that's right, the girl with the simplest makeover was the one to hate her look. In fact, Bianca was the only girl to dislike her makeover.
The First Photo Shoot: Each model had to do an editorial version of their own baby photos! See the slideshow for some of the photos from this shoot. Rae was given some extremely high heels that she couldn't even walk in, but she sucked it up and managed to pull off what Jay said was a stunning photo. Bianca continued to be upset about her eyebrows to the point where she came out to the set in a bad mood. Jay said her attitude came out in her photos. Both Lisa and Sundai failed to impress Jay, but meek and mild Nicole surprised them all by pulling off a great photo.
The First Elimination: Supermodel Chanel Iman joined Tyra as today's guest judge. The usual suspects of Nigel Barker and J. Alexander rounded out the panel. A few of the models really impressed the judges and a few really depressed them. Tonight the best of the pack were: Rae (best photo), Nicole and Jennifer. At the bottom, Lisa and Bianca were at risk of going home tonight for lackluster photos. The judges thought Bianca's attitude was disappointing, while Lisa photo wasn't strong and her personality wasn't memorable. They gave Bianca another chance to prove that she could handle any makeup and any outfit because she had a strong photo. Lisa was sent home for having no real memorable presence as well as no strong photo.
