Coconut Secret has created several breakthrough raw, vegan and organic products. Beginning with a quest to replace the controversial agave nectar, Coconut Secret developed a handful of high-quality items, all from the sap of coconut tree blossoms. Some sweet and some savory, you'll be sure to find at least one favorite product to add to your raw food pantry.
Perhaps the most exciting of their products is the coconut aminos, a soy sauce alternative. In an age where most soy sauces are made from GMO soybeans and where concerns about the safety of soy product consumption is being questioned, this product is a welcome addition to grocery store shelves. With 65% less sodium than traditional soy sauce, use liberally in all of your favorite Asian inspired dishes. Pick up a bottle at the Sarasota Whole Foods Market today!
The Coconut Secret answer to agave nectar is coconut nectar, a sweet, almost fruity syrup. This liquid sweetener is lower glycemic than agave and is minimally processed in comparison. Use in smoothies, blended desserts, tea or wherever you've been using agave.
Coconut crystals is a dry sweetener made from evaporating and crystallizing the coconut sap. It has a rich, almost brown sugar like flavor and impressively dissolves in iced tea.
The coconut flour is gluten-free, high fiber and low fat; all surprising factors when you think of sweets. In the raw food world, try this instead of heavy nut based flours for desserts.
Finally, coconut vinegar can be used to replace apple cider vinegar in all of your favorite dressings, marinades and cleansing health drinks. With a very tangy flavor, try mixing with salt, splashing on kale leaves and dehydrating at 110 degrees for 8-10 hours for salt and vinegar kale chips.
