AMA Adam Lambert controversial kiss
It’s no secret. Adam Lambert is gay. His signature look: black hair, dark nail polish and smoky eyeliner. However, it seems this 2009 American Idol runner-up has hit a rocky patch due to his risqué preformace on the 2009 AMA’s.
After the airing of his racy video performance on The American Music Awards, it appears several TV stations are receiving flack for showing Lambert kissing a male keyboard player. “The American Idol had two reasons to make his performance memorable that night. First it was a slight fumble and then a series of kind sexual acts especially the way he ended his performance; he offered a long lasting kiss to a male keyboard artist.”
ABC’s Good Morning America cancelled their scheduled interview with Lambert following his seductive performance were he French kissed a male keyboard player, grabbed a female dancer’s crotch, dragged another one by her ankles, and simulated getting oral sex from a male dancer claiming, “Given his controversial live performance on the American Music Awards we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning.”
CBS’ Early Show interviewed him about the outrage caused by his act. The issue was addressed that parents were distressed for their children’s sake. When asked if he feels he needs to apologize to the parents, he said “I think it’s up to the parents to discern what their child’s watching on television. “
Rasmussen Reports finds that 62% of parents feel their children will not be better off than them economically. However, at the rate of the moral decline in the U.S., it’s safe to say morally our children will be worse as well.

This is so sick!! There were children watching this show. This is supposed to be a G rated performance on regular TV, this is just unacceptable.
Why were children watching a show at 11:00pm on a school night? And if it was DVR'd, why didn't the parents turn it off after some of the provocative acts that preceded Mr. Lambert's performance?
He may have pushed the envelope a little too muchm but, since he is the most remarkable singer, performer to come along in 20 yrs or so, we need to get past that and appreciate his wonderful voice. By the way, I read today that GMA which booted him off their show has signed Chris Brown to appear. So, is it better to beat up a woman than to kiss a guy ? What kind of message does that send ? Disgusting, isn't it ? Something is wrong with that.!!!!

I should add that ABC said they could not trust what his performance would be on their morning show. That is gratuitous slander. He had appeard in early summer on their concert series and GMA show and was, as always, " venue appropriate " and courteous, friendly, etc. Who makes their decisions..

It's the eve of 2010. Adam is a transformative figure. Hold on-the ride will be bumpy at times, but growth with happen and we will all be better for for it. Not his best performance on AMA vocally but this man is multi-talented. His cd is incredible. His performances on David Letterman and The Early show yesterday were fantastic. Go for it Adam!

Wow, he kissed a guy and simulated sex on stage... really something outrageous and a big scandal, well, not!!... The guy he kissed was not even gay and in this day and age it really should not matter if you kiss a guy or a girl... He was great on CBS Early Show and David Letterman last night. He was Great on the AMA's and actually admitted that after he listened to his performance (his singing) it could have been better. I agree HE'S NOT A BABY SITTER, so if you all were letting the little kids watch all the other semi raunchy performers, Its on You. I have 3 copies of his CD coming and am trying to buy the collerctors edition. I am 67 and just want to see him on TV, in movies, in videos or any othermnedia as often as I can! Did anyone go blind watching his performance? No? Than let's just stop talking about it and move on. If you are a die hard Adam fan, like me, than you weren't offended, what offends me is hearing so much trash talk about him. It really makes me sad that people including the media, are making him into some kind of deviant and disgusting monster. Having watched him every week on Idol and knowing people who know him personally, Adam is a sweetheart and a kind and loving person. So, please stop the bashing and let him continue on with his career. There are so many truly disgusting people in the world that you can direct your negative energy towards instead of Adam Lambert.
I thought it was hot, and this is coming from a heterosexual female. Any parents who have complaints about shouldn't have allowed their children to watch it. It's not Adam Lambert's fault that people who were maybe to young were watching the AMAs. How is he supposed to control that? That is the responsibility of the parents, not the entertainer.
I loved the performance and had no problems with it. If parents had a problem with it they shouldn't have had them watching. But I find it incredibly hard for a single parent to have a single complaint over the Adam Lambert performance without having even one complaint of the other performers before him. So all of this is total drama. NO WAY you could have a heartache over something Adam did but not the other performers. Total BS
I'm a 60 year old women who absolutely loves Adam. He is so incredibly talented. The simulated oral sex part could have been left out - perhaps a bit graphic for me. He is true to himself - an inspiration for us all really. Love his CD!!!! Go Adam - love ya!

What I thought of Adam's AMA performance was that he was hilarious! And I felt badly that his sound kept cutting out. I understand he lost his sound feed in his earpiece, which is how he got off-key. And for some reason the mixer had his backup singers coming out louder than Adam's singing. Between adrenaline and frustration he got distracted and tripped, but recovered from it nicely, and many people didn't even realize it happened, but for Adam it led to him over-reacting to compensate. All the things he did were in response to that. But that's what made his whole performance so in-your-face and unique. I'd LOVE to see him be able to give such a power-charged, outragious performance every time, but he won't now. He scared himself, so he'll be a good boy from now on - so I'm glad I got to see him let go once! Rock and Roll!
I was def disappointed at AMA perform. I have been Adam's biggest fan since day one. So I would not stop feeling that way about this most unique, talented superior rock god!! Saw him in concert, have every song he has ever done that i could find and have it on CD. Ma a fansite member of glambs international. He is more than he even realizes. He is the best singer/performer in the world now, and will continue to shock and surprise uf in a very beautiful way in the future. There are no adjectives to adequately describe Adam. Plus he is gorgeous inside and out. Humble and caring. he is what the public would have if they could have a dream performer/entertainer/singer/person. Here he is! We will stay with him until forever. faithfully, loyally loving Adam for who he is, and thanking him for who he is. Hope he tries out the opposite sex someday. Adam admitted he got carried away and I think he did too. I was disappointed that his vocals weren't spot on. I personally don't have a problem with any of what he did as it was on late. Yes, other performers did some adult things also but these are performers we had all seen and I don't think people were paying as much attention as they were about the debut of the world's next megastar, Adam Lambert. Kissing a man was the least of my concerns. There are gay characters on TV and in movies. I think we should be over that by now. I think for some it is like finding out your parents have sex. Yes they do and yes, gay people kiss. Get over it. The thing I had a problem with, even though it was not visible on TV, was Adam giving the middle finger. I thought it was out of character for Adam who is a trained professional and a really nice guy.
