ABC announced that Oprah will be conducting the interview with President Obama in the network’s Christmas Special. “The network has announced ‘Christmas at the White House: An Oprah Primetime Special,’ which includes an interview with the president, a conversation with the First Couple and tour of the White House. The special will also go behind-the-scenes as staffers prepare the White House for the holiday season.”
Rasmussen Reports finds that nearly one-out-of-four Americans (24%) say they watch daytime television host Oprah Winfrey's program at least occasionally. Eight percent (8%) watch at least once a week, with five percent (5%) watching every day or nearly every day.
This interview will mark the first time, since taking office, Oprah has personally interviewed the president. However, with her outspoken political endorsement, trip to Copenhagen with Michelle Obama—not to mention her photo shoot with Mrs. Obama (pictures appearing on the cover of O Magazine), it’s easy to say the interview will be nothing but fluff and feathers from another Obama companion.
The Christmas Special will air Sunday, Dec. 13, at 10 p.m.
