Kate Hudson and Jay-Z at Yankees/Angels ALCS Game 6 

For the 40th time, the Yankees won the American League pennant, which they clinched with a 5-2 victory over the Angels in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series on tonight last night. The outcome sets up a matchup between the Yanks and Phillies in the World Series, which begins Wednesday in the Bronx.

If the news of Yankees heading to the World Series wasn't enough for New York, this just in: There's also word that Jay-Z and Alicia Keys will perform “Empire State of Mind” at the Yankee Stadium on October 28th for Game 1 of the World Series. Hopefully this time without Lil Mama bumrushing the performance.
