There seems to be some more change afoot at CBS Radio Orlando. It sounds as though they are putting more of the 80's into Sunny 105.9. You wouldn't believe what song I just heard a few days ago.
Salt-N-Pepa "Push It" on Sunny 105.9? Really?
After further listening, it seems as though the new manager at CBS Radio (or the new PD of Sunny 105.9) has added a nationally syndicated radio show onto their weekends. I'm talking about "Backtrax USA" with Kid Kelly.
It was odd to hear those sweeping lasers in their audio imaging at 105.9 on the dial. I would of thought that they would put "Backtrax USA" on Mix 105.1 instead, since Mix 105.1 already has their "Friday Night 80's".
I would have to agree that the sound of Sunny 105.9 has slowly morphed into something else since it debuted about 2 years ago. It's not the station it once was, but they still do play KC & The Sunshine Band.
Since they have put "Backtrax USA" with Kid Kelly on Sunny 105.9 instead of Mix 105.1, this is yet another sign that they are planning to flip Mix 105.1 to all Top-40 very soon. I wouldn't be surprised if they give Sunny 105.9 the "Friday Night 80's" after the flip.

This is awesome. The eighties has some of the best music. Cindy Lauper, Madonna, Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder and of course MICHAEL JACKSON :-). Is so cool to hear all this artist over the radio and you don't have to reach for your old CD's. IS THE BOMB........MJ4EVER...
I agree. This station plays both the best of the 70"s & 80"s. I love Michael Jackson, everytime I hear his voice I just melt. Lucky me. To me MJ dominated always but, the 70"s with the Jackson and the 80's with the 2 biggest selling album: Thriller & Bad. I always get my MJ fixed. This station is amazing most def. tune-in
