Nam Tran is a graduate of Athabasca's Bachelor of General Studies program, where the majority of his courses came from the field of sociology. With a great understanding of sociological concepts and a double consciousness in race, Tran has a deeper and more intimate relationship with race issues. Tran has also taken a variety of sociology courses, written numerous sociological papers for his courses, and has read many sociology-related books.
