As a quilter you probably know Moda best as the makers of positively delicious fabric by designers such as Sandy Gervais, Eileen Taylor and Lynn Hawley Bloomquist of Holly Taylor designs, and Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts. But did you know that their website if full of free patterns? Each one is designed to make the best use of Moda's tasty specialty-cut fabrics. They go by delectable names and each one gives you pre-cut goodness. Here's the low down:
- Dessert Rolls are bundles of 10 strips, each 5" x 45"
- Honey Buns are rolls of 40 strips, each 1 ½" x 45"
- Jelly Rolls are rolls of 40 strips, each 2 ½" x 45"
- Layer Cakes are stacks of 42 squares, each 10" x 10"
- Turnovers are bundles of 80 6" triangles
Of course the old standbys – 5" x 5" charm packs, 18" x 22" fat quarters, and 9" x 22" fat eighths are still available. So check out the Bake Shop and get cooking on your next yummy quilt!
