National importance of passing H.R. 4213 and how it can affect the Georgia primaries

NY Public Policy Examiner
Like many other primary care organizations,
AAFP has called on the Senate to pass H.R. 4213 and extend the “increased Federal Medical Assistance Percentage” (FMAP) for six months into 2011 to assure that millions of Medicaid beneficiaries receive access to health care. If H.R. 4213 isn’t passed, states like Alabama, Maine, North Carolina, and Georgia will be forced to make devastating budget cuts. Therefore, pregnant mothers and the elderly will definitely be affected if H.R. 4213 if it is blocked. In
Alabama, the State pays for half of all births and two-thirds of nursing homes costs which equates to $197 million. Huge budget cuts will include massive layoffs across the nation. Why would anyone want to block a bill that will have a negative impact on so many Americans? Well, if you’ve got your focus on gaining control of the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives after the upcoming election cycle, you’d probably choose to play politics.
If a party is currently in the minority, they’d like the public to perceive President Barack Obama’s administration as incompetent on issues involving the economy that would strike the angst of voters in November of 2010. Republicans hope that American voters would hold their dissatisfaction with their economic status against President Barack Obama. Republicans
don’t think that Americans are paying attention to the gridlock in Washington, D.C. Senate Minority Leader Mitchell McConnell believes that
Republicans have gotten their groove back. While 15 million unemployed Americans are watching and waiting for Senate Republicans to stop blocking them from getting their groove back. What 15 million unemployed Americans are seeing is the Republican party blocking unemployment insurance benefits. They are beginning to realize that removing the Republican incumbents is a better way of starting over again. H.R. 4213 is a real bread and butter issue!
This week we will see what happens in the Senate with H.R. 4213 and the Georgia primaries.
Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich and ex-Vice President nominee Sarah Palin are predicting that former Secretary of State Karen Handel will win the runoff. President Bill Clinton endorsed Attorney General Thurbert Baker and is expecting a win. However, it would be a drastic loss of Karen Handel loses the runoff. That would indicate that within the Republican party a loss of momentum has occurred and reorganization is required. Especially, where two of America’s leading Republican voices have selected the winning candidate. While investigating “voter vengeance” it was discovered that only 17 people answered the poll. Of the 17 people that answered, 14 identified themselves as vengeance voters. With 2 people believing that they may be a vengeance voter. Only 1 person did not identify with being a vengeance voter. That’s a result of 82.35% of the people who participated in the poll are vengeance voters. Only 11.76% of the population believes that they may be vengeance voters. And, an insignificant 5.88% percent of the population said s/he was not a vengeance voter. The results of the poll are posted on the following link:

Mr. Nelson - May I ask a question? Does the bill they're going to vote on this week include FMAP again? I thought they had taken everything out except unemployment benefits and house buying tax credits or something like that, so the Republicans from Maine would vote for it. Have they put everything back in? I'm confused? (Your article sounds like other things are back in like FMAP, that's why I'm asking)
I'm confused, too. I was just reading the Reid-Baucus Substitute Amendment H.R. 4425, which is submitted with H.R. 4213 but acts as a substitute for it. It is what needwork, above, said. UI Benefits and homebuyer tax credit extensions, some other tax provisions and a travel thing. I also read somewhere that they will put the $25 per week back in, but I don't see that in the amendment and now it sounds like FMAP is back in. Can you clarify and with links if possible. Don't mean to argue with you- just getting really confused by all the changes!
Good article, thank you. I have to chime in here. I'm confused about the 25x week too. Can you tell me where to find that? Some articles have said it but others say no. Do you know wich it is and how do we tell for sure?
Is anyone there?
I wish these people would stop trying to feed off of others and figure out how to support themselves. " YOU CAN ACT LIKE A MAN! What's the matter with you? Is this what you've become, a Hollywood finocchio who cries like a woman? "Oh, what do I do? What do I do?" What is that nonsense? Ridiculous!"
Mikey: I don't know if you're talking about me but I can't act like a man because I'm a woman. :)
@Mikey,
So Mr. Mikey is that how you live like a man? All your insults carry no weight and diminish anything else you have to say. Unless you care share your secret on how to create an income out of thin air. Oh how magical you would be. I think you must watch to many money scam infomercials on late night T.V. Stop doing that you synapses are getting crossed.
Have respect for other Americans back up what you say with facts and begin to

You should be fined for not having insurance because if you have an emergency and go to the emergency room, then you do not have the money for the bill, it gets charged to everyone else. Get medical insurance for your entire family at the best price from www.bit.ly/chE6zp. By contributing to the pool and doing your part, overall costs come down. Its like stores that have to charge more because of all the theft. People go to the hospital and then not pay, it gets charged to everyone else.
Jobs are everywhere. The question is whether or not you have the skills required. For example: BP is hiring people right now to help with the oil clean up. If you have the skills you can get a job and if not you can't. Very simple. So what Spotman and some of the others here really seem to be complaining about is that they lack the skills to get the jobs that are available. See, they want a job availble for the skills they have. They want a good paying job to fit their skill set. Well guess what. Extra! Extra! "There may never be that job again!" You may need to take 70% pay cut and start over ina new field fromt he bottom. I know you don't want to hear this but it is the truth. It's no one's fault but yourself that you are in this situation and the sooner you come to terms with that you will be much better off. I wish you well in learning to take care of yourself and your responsibilites that you have created.
Me I blame Obama. Before Bush I make money. People come and spend money. But not Obama. I lose money. people no spend. I vote Obama. He promise help little guy but he help GM. He help Oprah. He help GE. He help all the big guy. Why no he help us. I pay tax and more. I know communist in China. They take my money and home. I come here start new life with nothing. I work 16 hour day and for what. Pay more and more tax so people no work. I been try hire good employee at min wage for last 3weeks. No one comes. anyone here wnat job? I give you 30 hrs week plus you eat free. No need cook, just wash, sweep, prep, and other thing. I think most America have it too good. They not really know what poor is because they still ahve too much. I know. I been there
I agree with Chen. Nothing Obama has done has helped anything, it has just made this whole nation poorer, less secure and has stirred up racial tensions and distrust even where there hadn't been any before. We need to vote all these Democrats and Obama out as soon as possible and hope the Republicans will return to their roots and replace this set of tired sell-outs. When free enterprise is allowed to work again, we'll be allowed to work again. This redistribution stuff, though, is just about dividing people and has collapsed every country it's ever been tried in. Why turn in the best for the worst?
Hey Mickey, there isn't any jobs cleaning up the oil spill. The unemployed people in those areas were hired first. But the US gov't yesterday pledge 1.5 billion in MORE aid to Haiti. Is any one listening.
@ Mikey:
You have no idea what skills any one has. You do not even know any one leaving comments. You are proving yourself to be a defenceful hateful idiot and now people have stopped reading your comments. What I wrote to you before stands again. This will be the last response to you unless you change your idiotic allegations and apologize to everyone but me, I do not need it, they really don't either cause you are have shown yourself to be plumb stupid. You should apologize to yourself. You cannot offend the unoffendable, which is a spotman superpower. You have no idea what I sd and I conjecture this from your own statements. All you can think of is unoffend and defenceful are not a words and how can you attack my level of intelligence for using them. Oh, I should give you the benefit of the doubt; maybe you thought they were words.
Oh man that was fun, funny, and gets funnier:)
Prove it

Why would I go back to work to make $400 a week when I can sit on my butt and make $300? And guess what - this is not money you have paid in. Are you people really that dumb? That money is long gone. Why do you think this will go against the national debt. because we don't have the money. The Republicans offered a compromise to give you money out of the stimulus package but the democrats don't want this. they want to spend more.
To those that blame Obama. You really need to do some research!!!! The job market was falling 750,000 a month when he was swore into office. Go do you research, look at crimes of Wallstreet and banking industry... look up REPUBLICANS changing laws giving these businesses free reign, no more government to oversee them. The list goes on and on and on. Now. Tell me, when Obama took over, and thousands of businesses were closing due to the Republicans actions.... How fast was he suppose to bring back jobs. Should he have used the stimulus to build businesses and give them away? BE REALISTIC. Obama is doing great with what the REPUBLICAN PARTY LEFT BEHIND. Just think how well he could be doing if the REPUBLICAN PARTY quit blocking him from getting his job done. So, whose fault is it. The man who is trying, or the Republican's who are trying to make him fail at the ECONOMY'S and the PEOPLE'S expense? You may want to vote against selfishness and hatefulness - REPUBLICANS
"The job market was falling 750,000 a month when he was swore into office."
Was it just me or didn't Obama ASK to be elected? He was elected because he said he had the solutions. Now a year and a half later its painfully obvious he does not.
He keeps harping on he inherited this and that....but he decided to push for health care reform in the middle of all this when his sole focus should have been JOBS.
From the sounds of it this bill could have been passed WEEKS AGO if Obama and the Senate Dems agreed to use unused stimulus funds. Instead they decided not to and Reps stood there ground so they get blamed.
Now he says the Reps did this and that during the Bush admin so he should have free rein. It's this rear view attitude mentality which is the problem and why there will be Dem losses this election season regardless of Ed's polls in which 18 people respond.
