The elementary and secondary students of Western Heights in Oklahoma City will experience interactive learning with the new eInstruction tools that the district has adopted for the 2009-2010 school year.

eInstruction is working with the district as they learn to use the research-based classroom technology.  The collaborative learning tools will be in classrooms across the district, impacting over 3000 students, including the following schools:

  • Western Heights High School,
  • Western Heights Middle School,
  • Winds West Elementary School,
  • Council Grove Elementary School,
  • Greenvale Elementary School and
  • John Glenn Elementary School.

Steve Kaye, President and CEO of eInstruction, says that Western Heights is in for an exciting school year“The feedback we have received from educators who use eInstruction technology has been overwhelmingly positive and, believe it or not, students are actually excited to be in the classroom,” said Kay

“We believe the Western Heights School District will finde that the entire experience of teaching and learning will change for the better with these new tools.

eInstruction offers a mobile interactive whiteboard system.  Teachers can control activities from anywhere in the classroom.  There are also  full-color LCD handheld tablets and eInstruction’s CPS clickers, which allow students to respond to questions and enable teachers to instantly assess student comprehension.

Western Heights School District will also participate in eInstruction’s professional development resources, eI Community.
