Season: Eight
Scorecard: April Johnston was out in episode 12 “We’re in a New York State of Mind”. She made it to the top 3 twice and won just one challenge while on Project Runway
Education and Experience: Johnston graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) with a bachelor’s degree in fashion design just before appearing on Project Runway: Season Eight. She was accepted to show for the first time at the 2010 SCAD fashion show. Is a featured designer at the 2011 Charleston Fashion Week.
Inspiration: Alexander McQueen, Lady Gaga, the model Laura Stone, and John Galliano

Random:
Says she knew she was going to be a fashion designer in high school when she designed and made her own prom dress
She says black and grey are her colors of choice, which will surprise no Project Runway aficionado. However, she also considers turquoise one of her favorites as well.
April’s hobbies, outside of fashion design include, camping, mountain biking, hiking, swimming and running
April counts most of Tim Burton’s movies as her favorites.
