One where up means down, where light means dark, and where being found to have broken state ethics laws means one's vindicated.
(Governor Palin) said she still doesn't think she abused her power like the report says she did. In fact, she said she considered herself vindicated.
In a brief conference call with press reported by the Anchorage Daily News, Palin said, "I’m very, very pleased to be cleared of any legal wrongdoing … any hint of any kind of unethical activity there. Very pleased to be cleared of any of that."
Palin said that her husband Todd was justified in complaining about Trooper Wooten (which the report finds he did for months on end), and said there was "nothing to apologize [for] there with Todd’s actions, and again very pleased to be cleared of any legal wrongdoing." (Link)
Ladies and gentlemen, this is who the Republicans believe is their best choice as their vice presidential candidate.

It is very revealing to read what Alaska newspapers have to say about Sarah Palin, without the GOP filter.
I went to the 3 major papers in the state yesterday and did a roundup of opinion.
As just one example of something that is not getting covered, the McCain campaign seems to have actually taken over the governor's office.

Another flat out LIE Jay.
ONLY ONE Republicans made that choice. McCain. Remember, McCain AND Obama were not the best choices. Palin is the pick and we can't do anything about it. Even if we wanted to.
So your statement is AGAIN factually incorrect. You are on a roll Jay.
that's mighty funny from someone who has so adamantly defended her here.
Having some second thoughts?
scootmandubious said "I went to the 3 major papers in the state yesterday and did a roundup of opinion." Then goes on to link a blog site and NOT one of the "3 major papers".

Absolutely not. The two side have been chosen and there is nothing any of us can do. How many liberal, progressive types are voting for Obama even though they wanted Clinton, or Edwards?
MANY of "us" would have preferred another choice but guess what? We got what we got.
I was defending Palin because I have never in my life heard such hateful and disgusting comments about ANY woman. ANY! Still doing it. It's terrible.
Sorry, don't buy it.
Here's what you said on 9/18: Here is a woman who has accomplished EVERYTHING the feminists have fought for for over 40 years. SHE has done it with her man BEHIND her, not in FRONT of her like Hillary did. She has the family AND the job and she has risen in her chosen career and has been successful at BOTH. She has started and run her own business with her husband... Palin is far more accomplished than MANY of the feminists before her. What is the difference between her and the likes of the NOW crowd? Palin believes in family and self sufficiency.
On 9/12: I have indeed posted accomplishments of Palin here. You must have passed over them. The team will continue to do "dumb stuff" until election day and then will march right into the WH to take over for at least 4 years. I predict McCain - Palin by at least 9 points.
And this one in particular (from 9/12): I support Palin MORE than I do McCain. You want to see lies that have been spoken over and over? http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/50lies.asp
Then there's 9/9: Joshua, it would seem McCain made the PERFECT choice for VP
on 9/6: I would trade her for MY governor ANY day of the week. AND: She has been a good mayor and Governor. Admit it. Thats why she has the approval numbers. AND: Sounds like a sound judgment to me. Go Sarah.
That's an endorsement. Not a defense.
One more thing...and you don't have to reply; Hillary Clinton was slammed by sexism in the primaries, much of it by conservatives. If your defense of Sarah Palin was a defense against sexism (which the comments above dispute - those comments sound like a full throated endorsement) - I presume you came to Hillary Clinton's defense as well. Right?
I stand by every post I have put up. I think SHE is a great pick, I am not happy about McCain at the top.
When I typed "MANY of "us" would have preferred another choice but guess what?"
I meant McCain. NOT Palin. I will say again, I would trade her for my Governor ANY day, O'Malley of Maryland.
I will answer about Hillary. MOST of the crap came from the other dems. And YES I thought it was wrong, even though I thought Clinton was THE WORST person in the running. Policies and people are the topics, not race and gender.
