Betsey McCaughey, credited with creating the myth that the health care reform bill will create 'death panels' forcing senior citizens to forego medical treatment sent a letter of resignation to Cantel Medical Corp where she has served as a director since 2005. This news came the day after McCaughey appeared on Comedy Central's Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
McCaughey tried to defend her opposition to the health care reform bill but Jon Stewart had no trouble winning the interview that became a debate.
In her letter of resignation, Cantel announced that McCaughey was resigning"to avoid any appearance of a conflict of interest during the national debate over healthcare reform."
Rumor has it that McCaughey was asked to resign. But there is no confirmation at this time.

Americans have never voted for Eurosocialism. Obama didn't get elected to turn the country upside-down. People like Daniel Hannan, who know the dubious joys of Eurosocialism in Britain, are telling us this is a disastrous idea. Britain is going down the tubes because the welfare sector is siphoning off all the tax money. Nobody can vote the Ruling Class out of power any more. The British Armed Forces are in dreadful shape because their money is gone.
American medicine ain't broke. All the sqeegee guys swarming around our health care look like they're in it for themselves, and not to actually fix things. Some Europeans think that we are crazy even to think about going down this road.
Would you buy a used car from this crowd? Or turn your medical care upside-down? I wouldn't.

It was Obama's adviser Rahmbo's brother who actually talked about the misnamed death panels. He has written about it many times and for years.
This article is all screwed up. The health care rationing issue is part of Obama care. It is real and medical authorities across the country believe that seniors will be the victims of rationing that will result in their deaths.
Stewart be damned, we know who that wag is . . .
I have no patience for the likes of McCaughey and others who would like to see this debate reduced to lies and distortions. In the she wrote an influential error-laden article in The New Republic criticizing the Clinton administrations attemt to reform healthcare that was later retracted by the magazine. I say "error"-laden, but in reality, I'm sure she knew what she was doing.
I meant to say: "in the 90's she wrote an error-laden article..."
You see, that's an example of a real error. McCaughey's writing is full of lies.
Jon Stewart did what the spineless MSM couldn't...challenged McCaughey with his own knowledge of the content of the bill and exposed the chicanery of her manipulative, manufactured and utterly baseless allegations of euthanasia and all the rest.
Republican lies and hypocrisy among the highest ranks were also exposed this week by Amy Sullivan of Swampland; revealing that 246 Republican pols, including Boehner and Grassley voted for "end-of-life care counselling" in GW Bush' 2003 Medicare Drug Modernization Bill. Ergo, Republican vocal critics of end-of-life care counselling were for it before they were against it!
Could it be they're just following Rep Jim DeMint's (R-SC) call-to-action: "If we're able to stop Obama on [health care reform], it will be his Waterloo. It will break him."
It's amaizing just how stupid Americans ARE!.. How pathetic!! They believe anything they see on TV or read in an email without checking the facts. And we wonder why we are in the situation we are in!!

I am not sure about this but I think the Hudson institue might have taken her page down and remove her name. When I did a search on google for her, the Hudson instute link came in empty. From the google cash information, I could see that they used to have her picture and bio. coincidence??

Dr. Eric Whitaker is a friend from Chicago and the University of Chicago Medical Center where Michelle had a no show job. The fine Doctor and Michelle were involved in the patient dumping scandal.
He also helped Michelle get a huge raise when Obama was elected US Senator. When Obama won the presidency, her important job that deserved such a big raise, was defunded by the hospital.
