Prayer Breakfast politics: Obama, Clinton, condemn homophobia. At the National Prayer Breakfast both President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were outspoken in their condemnation of the "Kill the Gays Bill" in Uganda, and homophobia at home.
– CLINTON: And I recently called President Museveni, whom I have known through the Prayer Breakfast, and expressed the strongest concerns about a law being considered in the parliament of Uganda.
– OBAMA: We may disagree about gay marriage, but surely we can agree that it is unconscionable to target gays and lesbians for who they are, whether it’s here in the United States or as Hillary mentioned, more extremely in odious laws that are being proposed most recently in Uganda.
President Barack Obama is spot on when he uses the term "odious" to describe the proposed anti-homosexuality legislation in Uganda. The bill calls for long jail terms or even the death penalty in some cases of homosexual intercourse. The proposed legislation is an obscenity and an abomination, it is an attack on human dignity under the cover of Christianity.
The irony, and sweet justice, of the remarks made by Obama and Clinton is that they were made at the National Prayer Breakfast, an event sponsored by the nefarious Christian organization known as the Family.
Until quite recently The Family at C Street has been actively supporting the Ugandan leaders who are championing this draconian legislation, legislation that would go so far as to institute the death penalty for homosexuality.
The Family is a secretive international Christian cult that preaches a doctrine known as the "Seven Mountains Mandate" in which believers seek to gain world control, by gaining influence over seven key sectors of society: religion, government, media, education, arts and entertainment, family, and business. The group is quite sexist, believing in a strong patriarchy, and obviously radical in their homophobia. Members take an oath and are sworn to secrecy.
Some of the U.S. politicians who belong to the Family include Congressmen Bart Stupak and Joe Pitts, (notorious for working together to strip reproductive rights out of U.S. health care reform); Nevada Senator John Ensign, South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford, and former Representative Chip Pickering of Mississippi, (all three guilty of adultery and hypocrisy - all three made their political careers by publicly professing their religious faith and their so-called "family values"); and, Senators Brownback and Inhofe.
Once the "Kill the Gays Bill" became public knowledge in the states, members of the Family began to distance themselves from the bad publicity. However, their silence before the story gained national exposure is tantamount to an admission of support. Indeed, there is no question that some members of the Family continue to secretly support the legislation.
Obama and Clinton were right to attend the Breakfast. They were right to stand up and speak out against Christian hate, where ever that hate is made manifest, be it Uganda, or the USA.

Hey Mikey I heard Tebow was at that brefest with Obammy. I can't wait to watch that PRO-LIFE COMMERCIAL WITH TEBOW!! I'm sure glad CBS decided to pull the plug on that gross "ManCrunch" ad Stoney was writing about. Hey Mikey I hear tell them homersexuals were kissing each other on the lips in that commercial, eeeeeewwwwww that's gross dude. No way in hell they need to show that freak stuff during America's Game. If ya have to show some of that stuff show it at 4AM on MSNBC nobody watches that channel anyway.
What exactly does homophobia mean? As with most, phobia means fear. Ho mo means man. Why would anyone be afraid of a man?
Hey Mikey you sure you're not describing "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" when your laying down the domination of "seven key sectors of society?" What "Family" Mikey? There hasn't been a "Family" since 1969 when they arrested little Charlie Manson and his followers for the Tate/LaBianca murders Stoner. Mikey are you on some kind of Helter-Skelter mind bender son? Why does your boy Odunga have to bring politics into a "Prayer Breakfast?" Pretty tacky wouldn't you say Mikey?
"Nefarious Christian organization", I love it!!
The "Family" does not speak for me.
Mikey why do you have to use words like "nefarious?" Mikey we know you're a "Gypsy Scholar" and all but most of your right winged fan base is composed of knuckle draggers and redneck Bible thumping racists. We don't know what words like that mean Stoner.
Mikey I just looked up that big word "nefarious" and it means: extremely infamous or wicked: Evil. Mikey wouldn't it make it easier on your right wing knuckle dragging homerphobics to just use the word(s) evil or wicked instead.
Deception, deception, deception. Here's what Obama and Clinton apparently have a problem with: "The Ugandan measure calls for the death penalty or life imprisonment for HIV-positive homosexuals who have sex with minors."
I don't have a problem with any of that statement.
Stone Smoker---Your audience doesn't express much sympathy for your position. Does that tell you anything? Oh, silly me! I keep forgetting that gay porn liberals can't actually process information so as to learn anything.
Is that true Stoner what "Superstone" said about them only punishing HIV-infected homersexuals who have sex with minors with the death penalty or life imprisonment? If that is true WHY do you MISLEAD your readers into thinking they're killing homersexuals just for being homersexuals. So Mikey you have no problem with a HIV-infected adult homersexual having sex with a minor? Apparently there is something wrong with YOU Mikey and not the Ugandan government. WHY DID YOU MISLEAD YOUR READERS BY WRITING "some cases of homersexual intercourse?" WHY DIDN'T YOU INFORM THEM OF WHAT THOSE "some cases of homersexual intercourse" WERE MIKEY?????

Take the quiz and rate Obummers first year. Seems the average is a FAILURE!
Hey Mikey
thanks for the informative article - looks like you have a collection of lunatics following you, but as anyone knows - more clicks means more $$.
while the law does mention sex with minors - which is of course always wrong - it also allows for seven years imprisonment for simply counseling a known homosexual. that means even a clergy member, a teacher, even a friend could be sent to jail for simply associating with and giving counsel to a known homosexual.
I really enjoy some of the comments, they reinforce the notion that conservatives are idiots.
Is Walt a homersexual?
Mikey, when do you get time to write this garbage? Yesterday was a nice day, it mush have been have been very busy at the car wash.
Mikey everytime I come here to comment on your articles there is some kind of gay singles ad on your site. Can you have them place a ad for heteronormative people also.
Homo=man, phobia=fear. Yes, he condemns man fear, but this is only to cover his own fear of men. He knows these men are on to him. Unless he does something pretty desparate in the next three years, these men are going to vote him back to Chicago, where he can change his underwear and hope for a new job.
Hey Walt-- Thanks for your idea of a informative article: a rather disjointed collection of bad opinions backed up by reports of other's wrong opinions with nary a fact to back them up or even any indication that the author of this garbage has the slightest ability to engage in any form of reasoning. I guess you figure it's informative because you agree with him. In fact, whenever I see such an agreeable out of type comment, I start smelling the author himself. You'd likewise be as amusing as Mike-- if your take on life weren't so pathetic and wrped.
It's interesting to hear everyone judge from afar with value systems based on life in a developed country where we are allowed to voice an opinion without persecution -- It's not conservative verses democratic -- It's a human rights issue and the idea that there is a death sentence or complete underscoring of rights based on sexual orientation is certainly concerning -- Yes, molestation is a separate case but likely a motivation that falsely warrants the bill -- Do you think grown heterosexual men would always be a risk around a female minor -- I don't think so. Scare tactics are examples used in many past societal examples including the the german propaganda against the Jews. -Human rights issues including but not limited to homosexuals in Uganda need to be addressed ... -- Maybe instead of fear-incrimination of individuals based solely on sexual orientation one should look into policy based on widespread food insecurity, the child-violence plagued LRA, and Education.. just a thought
