Sarah Palin will be raising money for abortion providing socialized medicine in Canada. Palin has been booked for an April speaking engagement at a fundraiser for two Hamilton, Ontario, hospitals. Palin will be paid $200,000 to speak on behalf of that which she has previously claimed to oppose.
Palin might be surprised to learn that the hospital she is fundraising for runs counter to her professed beliefs:
– St. Peter’s Hospital is a public hospital within the national Canadian healthcare system. In Palin’s worldview, universal, government-insured health care is “socialism.”
– St. Peter’s Hospital performs abortions. Palin, a staunch anti-choice zealot, has protested outside of abortion clinics and has refused to denounce abortion clinic bombers as terrorists.
– St. Peter’s Hospital, through its Centre for Studies in Aging, offers “advanced directives.” Palin tried to derail health reform earlier this year by falsely labeling advanced directive reimbursements as “death panels.”
Is this hypocrisy? Should the "pit bull with lipstick" be taking money from, or raising money for, an institution promoting socialized medicine and abortion? Does getting paid make it OK? Is Palin, and her convictions, for sale?
What else will Palin do or say for a pay check?

I'm thinking there is a lot more to this story than HuffPo and Think Progress want us to know. For the hospital to make money they'll have to sell far more than 1,000 plates. Won't happen. I wonder why they invited her to speak? Knowin her she will probably donate the $200k to Canadian prolifers. A better question: why the never-ending vicious assault on Sarah Palin? A serious inquiry to honestly answer that question would make for a useful column.
What else will Mikey do or say for a paycheck.

The best thing about Sarah Palin is that she scares the ---- out of all Liberals. "Methinks they protest too much!" The light of day she sheds on subjects, even when in the enemy's camp, and her open honesty is most dangerous to the progressive cause.
Isn't it amazing how far Mikey and his progressive wannabe crowd are willing to stretch things in attempts to emabarrass someone they don't like for whatever reason? Isn't it incredible how loudly the wannabes blow their horns (when they aren't blowing each other) when they think they have uncovered some dirt?

Palin and Schatner were great together. The audience is usually a left leaning one but they were pretty fair to her and got a lot of applause.
