Family values Palin a negligent parent

     Sarah Palin

Former Governor Sarah Palin, claiming to be a staunch advocate of family values, is in reality a negligent parent. In an interview for Vanity Fair Magazine, Levi Johnston, father of Sarah Palin's first grandchild, paints an ugly portrait of Sarah Palin. According to Johnston the Palins were absentee parents, leaving the children to fend for themselves. At home, Sarah Palin was moody, demanding, lazy, and spoke constantly of hating her position as Governor of Alaska.

The upcoming October issue of Vanity Fair will offer an unflattering look at the Palin household. Johnston says the Palin home in Wasilla was different from what most people think. The 19-year-old lived with the Palins for two months awaiting the birth of his child. Johnston and Palin's 18-year-old daughter, Bristol, were going to get married but called off the wedding.

Originally Palin encouraged the young parents to be to lie about the pregnancy, to have the baby in secret, and to let her and her husband adopt the child. Palin was worried about her "family values" credentials. Palin feared potential humiliation; she feared ridicule from the religious right if news of her daughter's pregnancy became public. Bristol and Levi, demonstrating an integrity and honesty that Sarah Palin lacked, refused to go along with Palin's plan of deceit and deception.

Indeed, it seems there is little parenting in the Palin household. Palin's children take care of themselves. With the older daughter Bristol doing the cooking, cleaning, laundry, and other parental duties.

According to Johnston, after the 2008 presidential election:

Sarah was sad for a while. She walked around the house pouting. I had assumed she was going to go back to her job as governor, but a week or two after she got back she started talking about how nice it would be to quit and write a book or do a show and make “triple the money.” It was, to her, “not as hard.” She would blatantly say, “I want to just take this money and quit being governor.” She started to say it frequently, but she didn’t know how to do it. When she came home from work, it seemed like she was more and more stressed out.

Not much of a surprise. Palin is already known as a quitter, intellectually lazy and uninformed about the most basic issues. Her rallies during the presidential election were filled with racist thugs waving sign and hollering slogans meant to threaten and intimidate then candidate Obama. The pit bull with lipstick is a lazy bully, more interested in enriching herself than finishing a job she was elected to do by the people of Alaska. Her behavior has been nothing but selfish and self serving. Seems her private life mirrors her public life.

I never liked Palin. The only reason she was nominated as a running mate was because they could use her to be the Anti-Hillary. I have always thought she acted like she is ashamed of her grandchild, even before I read this. She will showboat her own baby, and garner sympathy because he is special needs, but I have yet to see a pic of her holding her grandchild. Plenty of parents struggle with special needs children and do not get recognized- why should she be praised for simply doing her duty as a parent, not to mention he has Down Syndrome and they named him Trig! I don't care if it is a family name or how they got it. Kids are cruel so use some common sense. If his last name wasn't Palin and was from a regular family- he would be tormented in school.
