In the News…
Last week, the Wall Street Journal reported that White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel had called a group of liberal activists “f—ing retarded” last August for planning to air media ads attacking “Blue Dog Democrats” who were and are still critical of President Obama’s agenda for health care reform. On Monday, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin called for Emanuel to be fired for his “slur on all God’s children with cognitive and developmental disabilities.”
Rahm Emanuel, realizing the error of using the non politically correct term “retarded” to describe the Democratic Party’s “far left”, had in reality, already apologized for his remark to Special Olympics CEO Tim Shriver the week before. Additionally, Emanuel stated that he now plans to host “a delegation of social reform advocates”, including two people with mental disabilities, at the White House” as part of his effort to make amends for the insensitive remark that he made.
Rush Limbaugh being the circus clown / entertainer that he is, stated that Rahm Emanuel’s regrettable remarks “opened the door” for him to use the “R” word on his ultra conservative radio talk show. Continuing his tirade, Rush Limbaugh defended his use of the word “retarded” and said that liberal activists truly are “retards”.
From the mouth of Rush Limbaugh: “Our political correct society is acting like some giant insult’s taken place by calling a bunch of people who are retards, retards. I mean these people, these liberal activists are kooks. They are “Looney Tunes”. And I’m not going to apologize for it, I’m just quoting Emanuel. It’s in the news. I think their big news is he’s out there calling Obama’s number one supporters f’ing retards. So now there’s going to be a meeting. There’s going to be a retard summit at the White House. Much like the beer summit between Obama and Gates and that cop in Cambridge”.
Palin spokesperson Meghan Stapleton, when asked to comment on Rush’s rant, stated in an email the following:
“Governor Palin believes crude and demeaning name calling at the expense of others is disrespectful.”
OK, Sarah Palin supporters, is this the extent of her anger with Rush Limbaugh? Where is the display of anger and the “fire in the belly” that calls for Rush Limbaugh to lose his job for the use of the “R” word in such an ugly and demeaning manner? Is this the “going rogue” politician that “stands up” against the status quo who demeans the rights of the mentally impaired? Somehow I and millions of others just don’t see the same outrage depicted towards Limbaugh that Palin directed towards Emanuel. I guess politics is politics. There’s nothing “rogue” about having Meghan Stapleton issuing a weak non identifiable statement that at best is generic in its use.
In her quest to be “bonafide”, Sarah Palin has consistently portrayed herself as a champion for special needs children, however, in reality when the “rubber hits the road”, Palin is no more than an “empty vessel” politician that kisses the ring of comedian Rush Limbaugh.
From quitting her “post” as Alaska Governor to make more money for herself and her family as an author and public speaker, to being afraid to confront Rush Limbaugh – the de facto head of the GOP - Sarah Palin is a phony. Does anyone remember Kenyan minister Thomas Muthee praying over and blessing Sarah Palin, asking God to protect Palin from the "spirit of witchcraft"? If you don’t that’s OK, I do. Perhaps “Sister Sarah” should ask Thomas Muthee to pray for the spirit of witchcraft to flee from Limbaugh since she’s afraid to confront the GOP leader face to face for his ugly and profane use of the word “retarded”.
I already know that the comments I’ve made on this particular article will inflame the Palin lovers, but in reality I don’t care. The “blind” should be afforded the opportunity to “see”. Hey, Sarah, what’s the number for that Kenyan minister? I have a friend with split personalities who is in need of a good witch doctor.
As always Louisianans, the Examiner.Com is interested in what you think. Why is Sarah Palin afraid to use the same anger directed towards Democrat Rahm Emanuel for using the not so PC term “retarded”, but elects to use her spokesperson Meghan Stapleton, to issue a weak condemnation that never actually uttered the name “Rush Limbaugh”? And what’s up with a GOP potential president candidate using a minister to drive away “witches”?
Inquiring minds want to know. Sound off. Now if Barack Obama would have done the same thing, can you imagine the scandal?
Until next time Louisianans, Good Day, God Bless and Good Fishing.

Amazing -
Rahm Emanuel says something ignorant and this is spun into a bash the right rant.
Sheesh!
Sarah speaks with a forked tongue - or at least she has others do it for her. What can you expect from a quitter? She abandoned those who put her in office to feather her own pocket and it doesn't bother her to leave her children for days on end. As for her being afraid of Rush, she knows what he is capable of doing and fears he may just turn on her - after all, they are cut from the same cloth.
Love this article. She knows better than to mess with Rush he would eat that Barracuda alive or she would be the snake and he the mongoose. She would be toast. She is no mental giant and at least Rush has read some newspapers and books.
That why he said it so there is no mistake about who the true leader of the GOP is. He put her in her place.
Plus I think he can also write his own material. A big Plus.
Keep it up the writing
Peace
I agree, Palin to the right is like Al Sharpton is to the left. They are both just megaphones to their respective sides. The are not accountable through the vote and they are all just pimps to the system. They make money by stirring up crap.
The big difference here is that Rahm Emanuel is actually part of the Obama Administration unlike the other two mentioned in this piece. He can and should be held accountable for saying such a hurtful thing.
To Josh: First of all, "Thank you" for taking the time to read my article. Now...Josh, I don't know if I understand how deep this "Alice in Wonderland rabbit hole" really is. Meaning what is and what is not PC. OK, I'm quite sure that there are people out there who would take offense to me saying that "The 3 Stooges" were some of the East Coasts funniest comedians of all time. Some activist for prevention of cruelty to llamas would say that I advocate by hyping up The 3 Stooges I want to hurt animals. You know how the game is played. Not magnify this game by 10 when you dealing with politics. Frankly, I'm ready for a real 3rd Party. Sorry Tea Party...you get's NO LOVE from me, any American that advocates what President Obama has had to endure in terms of racial hate, gets no vote from me.
Emanuael was wrong. Period, for the LEVEL of the game that he's involved in. He knows better. But Rush, Limbaugh Bachmann and the rest take evil to another level. This is no spin sir. GB
So we can agree that Rahm Emanuel was way wrong. As for the rest of what you said I really don't see how all of that is relevant at all. I'm not sure how we get from Rahm Emanuel using an appalling term to Americans being racists. What does one have to do with another? Two completely different conversations.
To Josh: The meaning is that Americans need a credible third party to choose from at the voting booths, this would make them HONEST. The Democrats and the Republicans are both driven by their own special interests which in my opinion takes away the vote of us regular folks and gives it to big business.
In order to illustrate how the Tea Party is not ready for prime time in regard to really winning an election, I did include comments about how deep some of the Tea Party's members racial animosity actually runs. A whole lot of them advocated racial hate by stating (in regard to President Obama), "He's not one of us", "He's the antichrist", "He's Hitler", etc. etc. this behavior (i.e. Orly Tates) paints the majority of their organization has being crazy and unfit to govern our country. GB
Palin has aligned herself to these people because they are the only one's who totally embrace her without even admitting that she isn't the brightest bulb in the box. She can't go against Limbaugh
To Josh: If Palin made Limbaugh angry, he through his microphone platform would take away half of her political base. And intellectually, she is no match for Limbaugh, Todd can't be everywhere. GB
To Nandi: I appreciate your kind words. The story has to be told. Palin like so many other politician is a hypocrite. Case in point, she quits being Governor of Alaska because she "loves Alaska?" Please....she quit because she knows that she can make more money as a "free agent" versus being a state governor. And what's up with the Conservatives who love her, giving her a free pass on having "witches" exorcised from her by a traveling preacher? This is suppose to be a presidential candidate? Please...can you imagine if the President had done the same thing? Fox News would have made documentaries just on that topic alone. Hypocrisy on all fronts of the GOP. The story has to be re-told so that the American people will know exactly who these folks really are. Thanks for reading. GB
Greg,
Discounting every counter to Obama by the tea party as being racist is really intellectually bankrupt. It's race baiting at its worst. There are many reasons to be in opposition to this president and I really feel that the American people should be given much more credit than you offer. After all, Obama could not have won the presidency without the white vote. Obama has betrayed many Americans since he has not 1) Closed Gitmo 2) Pulled us out of Iraq and Afghanistan 3) Increased employment . He no different that Bush in many ways. Lots of talk, smoke a mirrors. Attempting to prosecute terrorist in New York city made many mad and this action transcends political lines. What the heck is he thinking? Others including myself really believe that Obama has been too soft of countries like Iran.
Do I believe that there are racists in America? Sure, there are racists in every ethnic group. But to assume that the entire tea party movement is racists is just inaccurate and simplisti
To Josh: Please remember that this is NOT a personal attack on you. Now...your comment was intellectually bankrupt in the fact that you're trying to tell me that NOT ONE person from the Tea Party had the "intestinal fortitude" to tell a branch who REPRESENTS THEM, to chill out on the racist tactics that they were using? Please. At least Emanuel had the guts to call out members of his OWN PARTY. And who said anything about the White vote not being pivotal in Obama's victory? Not I. Don't twist around what I said.
Forget about "all ethnic groups has racists crap" Where talking about a party that wants to run the government. You have "dogs" on your leash that you can't control. There are people in the Tea Party that have legitimate gripes about the country and their view of how the world should turn, however, by allow Crazies to run amuck, it makes them as a whole look small. Why wasn't it wrong to try all the other terrorist (like the shoe bomber) in our cities? Are we that scared
To Josh: Oh...and what's up with the traveling preacher who prays away witches and demons and performed his "magic" on Palin in her church back home in Alaska? You think that Palin is a overall good representative of the Tea Party? I'm curious? And don't forget that Todd belonged to an organization that wants to separate from the rest of the country. Are these the best representatives for a political party that wants to be taken seriously?
To Bonnie: You are 1000% correct in your analysis. Thanks for reading the article. GB
I've been reading your stuff and your disdain and expressed hatred for the tea party speaks volumes. I'm not sure that some in the tea party have not called out what you call the racist element of the party. The only real racist attack I have seen was a Black man at a town hall meeting who was beaten by a member of the SCIU.
Because Reid was taken into custody in late Dec 2001. Gitmo wasn't even open, we were still in the initial stages of ground combat in Afghanistan, and the Federal prosecutor in NYC moved aggressively in Jan 2002 to bring Reid up on terrorism charges, which he plead guilty to in Oct 2002. The first military tribunal would not even be established until 2004. Bush didn't put Reid before a tribunal because they had not been established yet and Reid would quickly plead guilty. Also, our intelligence collection operations were still evolving in Jan 2002, everything was in flux and the Justice Department and the Intelligence agencies while changing.
To Josh,
No your leader Palin started the basing by going after Rahm Emanuel. The right thought the had a line being thrown by Palin only to have the BOSS throw the same line no response.
So get angry with the Right. Don't bring a snake to a fight with a mongoose.
Certainly if the snake is all mouth and no action.
And the Mongoose looks like Rush.
Where is the outrage at Rush you are all scared of him.
To Josh: Please don't say that I hate anyone. As a person who is trying to be the best Christian that he can be, I don't hate. Period. But you are correct by saying that I have disdain for a segment of the Tea Party for their attempt to portray the President as being some kind of illegal alien. And overall, I have little respect for the whole Tea Party for not telling the crazies like Michelle Bachmann and Orly Tates and the people who carried guns to rallies that they are wrong in how they address the President. The hypocrisy of "looking the other way" smells like a pole cat hit by a car on the highway in the heat of the summer. And of course you haven't heard of any leader of the Tea Party chastising one of their crazies for their disrespectful behavior towards the President. That's because it hasn't happened. I have disdain for the Party but not hatred. And you still haven't answered my questions about the traveling preacher and witches or about Todd and his friends. What's up? GB
When Emanuel used the word "retarded," he used it as an adjective.
When Limbaugh used the word "retard," he used it as a noun.
He also called the mentally handicapped people who will visit the White House "retards" who will be part of a "retard summit."
Limbaugh's comments were FAR more offensive, but Palin gives him a pass cuz she's a grifter & a hypocrite.
BTW -- My 41-year-old sister is mentally retarded, so Palin's short time tossing Trig (now there's an insulting name) around like a political prop hardly gives her much cred with me. She's done nothing to help special needs kids other than a puny last minute $1,000 donation. She's all talk and short skirts.
Mr. Boyce,
First, Rush was using satire in his remarks. As a long time listener, I have never heard him use the word in seriousness.
But, as to why Palin is afraid of Rush? Well that's easy. He slobbers all over her almost every day. She can't risk losing her biggest admirer.
The lemmings follow...
To Jane: I must say that I instantly like you. It's hard to find an honest person. You made me laugh and I needed that. Thanks. And you're right, Limbaugh does slobber all over Palin and politically she cannot risk angering him. In saying this, I respectfully challenge your view that Limbaugh is not taken seriously by many people. Jane believe me when I say that he is, if he wasn't taken so seriously by so many millions of Americans do you think that he would be paid the tens of millions of dollars to keep people tuned in to their radio? But again, I thank you for your refreshingly candid comment. You made me smile. GB
To Darklady: I like what you said and how you said it. "You go girl" :) But can anyone answer my question of why Palin needed "witches" exorcised from her? And in knowing all of this, there's still people out there who want her to be their next President? What does that tell you about how supporters? Inquiring minds want to know! GB
To Jack: The only lemmings that I know of follow people like Palin, Limbaugh, Beck, Bachmann, O'Reilly....should I continue, Oh...and you. GB
Perhaps these Palin-bashing articles would be taken more seriously if the people writing them expressed their hysterical viewpoints with a little more objectivity. The author's obvious hate of All-Things-Palin makes it hard to take him seriously.
Rush is a radio personality. His salary is not paid for by taxpayers. Rush is not helping to shaping White House Policy that will directly shape the future of America.
Obviously the author of this article doesn't know much about Christianity in Africa. Muthee is a Kenyan who came to speak at Sarah's church. In Kenya, such prayers are common and not considered "out of the ordinary." I think it's rather intolerant, if not xenophobic, for the author of this article to denigrate the people of Kenya and their Culture.
Nandi,
The only Leader I have is my savior the Lord Jesus Christ. I don't know why you would say such a thing or make this personal. I guess I could say the same about you and the author here and call you two boot licking Obama sycophants but that would put me in the same miserable place as yourself. I'll just pray for you instead.
Peace
To Leigh: First of all let me say thank you for checking out my article. Second, since I don't really remember reading any recent comments from you, please let me say that what I type is not intended to personally attack you. Healthy debate stimulates progressive thoughts and hopefully actions that will make this great country of ours better. Now...sabers drawn...Leigh, when did I insinuate anything that gave you or anyone else the perception that I dislike "everything" about Sarah Palin? In reality you are hysterical not I in our exchange of opinions and views.
Let us review; (1) What's up with the suggestive winks on camera when she made her run for VP back in 2008? Back home in Virginia Beach we call that "trickin". What's up with not being able to answer a simple question like what magazines do you read? - Whoa - I can understand how tricky a question that is. But I didn't go there. I didn't even ask why her need to pimp her kids on camera. All I asked is why she had...cont.
To LeighZ: cont. ...all I ask is why did Sarah Palin a former governor of Alaska (who quit by the way to make mo money)find the need to have witches exorcised from her? Simple, I could have asked questions in my article about all that I just mentioned however I didn't. What's up with the witches. Conservatives could care less than a hoot about respecting the culture of an African country. Lets keep it real. You really need to follow Jane's example of being honest. You try to twist stuff around like I'm anti-African culture, please, if I was a betting man, I'd bet that although I don't know you personally, I have forgotten more about African history than you will ever know. Don't test me. Again, for the 4th time, what's up with the witches and Sarah Palin? Inquiring minds want to know. GB
I agree Leigh,
The projected hatred is obvious and undeniable.
To Josh: No sir, the curiosity in why you continue to deny that the faith that you put in Sarah Palin as being a serious contender for the Presidency of the United States of America, a faith that is based on gullibility and to borrow one of the President's campaign slogans, "Hope" that Palin can one dday GROW into being smart enough to run this country, is frankly...astounding. GB
Greg,
Perhaps you are mistaking me for someone else or possibly your comprehension skills are challenged. I don't like having words placed into my mouth. Perhaps you can show me where a stated my support for Palin as President or as a leader. Simply because I don't agree to show hatred as do you, this does not equate to support or make me a follower.
To Josh: I don't mistake you for someone else. Nor are my comprehensive skills lacking. If you're not a Palin supporter than why go to her defense. Your logic is flawed. That's like me standing up and challenging someone who said that Idi Amin was bad for Uganda when I actually agree with him. Again why the challenge if you don't support Palin? This is mental chess Josh, if you can't take the heat, then don't play the game. GB
Oh, I see. You are like GW Bush - You are either with us or against us.
I just don't like hatred.
Peace and good luck on your witch hunt.
Josh,
I don't understand why you came under attack either. Bizarre...
Very Bizarre
Thanks Kim.
Remember the Seinfeld show and the Soup Nazi?
This Guy is the Blog Nazi!!
LOL!
To Josh: Please enough with the "I hate Sarah Palin" accusations. I do not hate Sarah Palin. What I dislike is that she was put on a pedestal by some wishful folks as being a legitimate candidate for President. This is not a witch hunt. It is what it is. She called for the head of Rahm Emanuel for using a non PC word, used by him as an adjective, which was directed at members of his own party and then you have Boss Limbaugh who used the same word as a nasty sounding noun. And not a mention of "shock" and dismay from Sarah Palin. I wonder why?
You made a comment and I challenged your comment. What Sarah Palin experienced with the "chasing away" of witches by that minister from Africa was bizarre. Not me for asking why? You see that's an old conservative trick...accuse your political opponent of being what you really are. In this case bizarre. So you're comfortable with this type of behavior from a President? If so, then how about a President who attended a Venus fertility ceremony? G
Whatever,
It's time to move on. Thanks for the attempt at genuine discussion but trying to pin me down as a Palin supporter or any kind of a partisan was over the top and cheap.
I enjoy honest dialog and I really enjoy these freelance amateur columns. I HATE partisan politics. Sarah Palin will never be President but she, just like you and I does have a perspective and some of her views are admirable. I enjoy hearing Hillary Clinton's Point of view as well, but this does not necessarily make me a Hillary supporter.
I still don't understand your need to be so crass, but we are all different and that just may be who you are. The Blog Nazi! lol
Peace -
Josh out!
canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/19736
Go to this link and you will have a better perspective of the mentality of the author
To Josh: I thoroughly enjoyed our dialogue :) I'm about honest, informative, entertaining, yet not personal debate. Thanks for reading my work. Please check out my article that I will submit tomorrow in regard to the Saints. Black and Gold in the Super Bowl, Baby Baby !! :) GB
To Kim: You don't even know me. Try reading "Soldier of Fortune", that better describes me :) Kim, you still didn't explain Sarah's exorcism. What's up with that? Inquiring minds wanna know. GB
Hey Kim,
I went to that article you posted a link to. Bingo! The writer nails it.
To Kim and Greg: Please create smoke by name calling because in reality you cannot answer why Sarah Palin subjected herself to a "cleansing of witches". It's a legitimate question that isn't posed in the type of hate speech diatribe that Limbaugh uses daily and which you accept with apparently no problem. So...what's the answer? GB
To Kim and Greg: I've read the website that you think describes me. I'm truly amazed how some of you self righteous hypocritical conservatives use smoke and mirrors to conceal your own weaknesses. This "Marxist" as you now want to call me served more than my few years to protect your right and my right to speak our minds. Believe what I'm about as you wish. What is undeniable is that you cannot explain why Sarah Palin found the need to have "witches" removed from her life. And this is the person that you put on a pedestal. Freaking amazing how you think. GB
Marxism is not a form of Government, it is a method of changing Government.
You don't even realize what you are - You don't know what Marxism is.
Screw Sarah Palin - She is nothing. Why are you Left wing nut cases so freaking infatuated with the Woman?
Don't worry about Palin, she can do you no harm. She is not in office.
Obama should be your concern. He is the biggest idiot President this Country has ever seen. Worse than even Carter!
Did you hear him talking about the "CorPsman" ROTFLMAO!!!
FOOLISH MAN!!!!
GAWD YOU OBAMA-ITES ARE STUPID!
the best way to get rid of palin is to ignore her.
To Kim: You've been checkmated. The truth about what you and the rest of your phony religious right wing friends are really about finally emerges. Thanks for showing your true colors. I know that it must be really scary to you having a Black guy being the President and all. I'm curious, do you like Michael Steele as well? GB
I listened to Sarah Palin speak at the Tea Party Convention for
a minute at the most. Her voice is so screechy,no profressionalism when she speaks. Very boring, I don't care how good the text is,she is not a public speaker. Instead of donating her fee,she should use it to return to communicating
school to learn how to enunciate her words.Sorry-SHE'S A BORE.
Gregory,
I have read your comments and the common theme for every one of your arguments is for you to play the race card. How many times can you blame whitey for your failures and get away with it? The fact is, guilt got this fool elected and the race card has been played out. The idiot did not know how to pronounce cor(silent-p-sman) because he was reading from his omnipresent teleprompter.
Palin is a fool, Obama is a Fool, but the biggest fool is you and your ignorant overplayed game of "you be a wacist cause you don't wike obama" "Dats wacist" "Wacist whitey" - People like you make white people dislike black people by always challenging their opinion and immediately pretending to know their heart. Call me a martian I don't give a crap, but Obama is way the hell out of his league. He is a poser and an ideologue. He can't get anything done with a complete house and senate majority. His ideas are too radical, but you would not know that because to you it's just whitey's fault -
To Kim: You still didn't answer why Palin needed an exorcist. Oh..Black Folks haven't used the word "Whitey" in a long time. You're telling on your age. GB
