I haven’t seen this much hoopla about “crib notes” being written on one’s hand since a young teenage boy nicknamed “Theodorewolfie” was caught with verb conjugation notes written on his hand during a French language competition held at Plaza Junior High School located in Virginia Beach, Virginia back in 1975.

When former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee / bestselling author Sarah Palin appeared before the National Tea Party Convention in Nashville Saturday night, she received a rousing round of applause when she told the convention’s attendees that President Obama was a “Charismatic guy with a teleprompter.”
The thousand-plus Tea Party attendees who paid $300 to hear her speak - Palin was paid $100,000 for her appearance - probably were not aware that Sarah Palin was in possession of her own handy Teleprompter — crib notes written on her left hand.
Sarah could be seen glancing at her left palm during her question and answer session with Tea Party Nation founder Judson Phillips when asked, “What were the top three things a Conservative majority in Congress should do?” An Associated Press photographer's picture revealed the words "Energy," "Budget cuts" (crossed out), "Tax," and "Lift Americans Spirits" scribbled in ink on the inside of her left hand. Whoa, she needed notes to remember those topics?
According to some political pundits, Palin’s writing notes on the palm of hands gives her political opponents further ammunition to use against her in their assertions that Palin doesn't have the capabilities to be President of the United States. Other pundits counter that to the millions of mostly far right conservatives that have supported Sarah Palin from the beginning, they will not see the palm written notes as “a big thing”.
However, ever since Palin stated on Monday during an interview on Fox News that she would run for president in 2012, if she believed that it was the right thing for the country; it only stands to reason that further scrutiny of Palin as a person who is capable of handling domestic and global issues is bound to increase from Americans who aren’t impressed with “winks and fluff” as being the foundation for running for the highest office in the United States.
In light of the Democratic Party’s accusations of the Republican Party currently being the “Party of No”, another of Palin’s Q & A that could receive more scrutiny would be her chide that politicians should not promise to work in a bipartisan manner if they don't intend to carry through on their promises because it builds distrust.
"Don't tell the American people, don't fake it, don't pretend like you want to work with the other party on that, because that distrust that is built —and this is what I would work on if I were in a position [to do so] — the distrust that is built makes us distrust all the decisions that are made coming out of Washington and that makes us a less secure nation," she said.
To the Palin supporters who affirm that Sarah was able to “fire off” a few rounds against the media during a recent campaign stop with Governor Rick Perry of Texas by writing “Hi Mom” on her hand, I only have two words for that assertion, “You betcha”.

I find it quite hilarious that many Palin opponents will mock and criticize her for writing a few words on her hand, but they have no problem with Obama using a teleprompter and being seemingly lost at times with out (Yes, Greg, I know he didn't have one when he spoke at the GOP conference, but youtube it, he's looked pretty ridiculous at times when his teleprompter malfunctioned). Is consistency too much to ask for? I guess so.
Perhaps the author would like to elaborate on the 1990 tape of Diane Finstein debate where Fienstein was caught with notes written on her hand during a debate. This was actually cheating during a debate. Funny how the socialists always get a pass.
