Always on the cutting edge of comedy, the writers of Saturday Night Live have created and presented a new political spoof "starring" former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and Fox Conservative television host, Glen Beck.
Envision a very short movie trailer that begins in a slick / new age / apocalyptic kind of way. The political spoof begins with a nationally televised news interruption announcing that the Nation has a new President.
The announcer declares that Sarah Palin, former Alaska Governor, former Republican Vice President Nominee and best selling author is now the American President. Sarah's Vice President is Glen Beck.
The year is 2012. Radio air waves pulsate with Gregorian chants. As video clips of Sarah Palin and Glen Beck are flashed across the screen, the world as we know it, begins to disintegrate. From the Himalayan mountains to the highways of Los Angeles, natural disasters on a biblical scale begin to lay waste across the world. Ancient Mayan predictions of the "end of time" have become fulfilled. Sarah Palin and Glen Beck are in the White House. "The chickens have come home to roost".
SNL, using scenes from the blockbuster movie "2012" and using snips of video clips featuring Hillary Clinton, Sarah Palin, Glen Beck and Joe Biden, have created a short film that can either be interpreted as being funny or insulting, - all depending upon your political ideological outlook -. In typical SNL fashion, the movie- short pushes the envelope in regard to comedic genius and political satire.
As always, the Examiner.Com is interested in what you think. Is Saturday Night Live's depiction of a apocalyptic world - caused by - featuring Sarah Palin and Glen Beck as the President and Vice President funny and in good taste? Or is the movie demeaning and unfair? Inquiring minds want to know. Sound off.
Until Next time Louisianans, Good Day, God Bless and Good Fishing.

I absolutely loved SNL's take on 2012 and SP and GB. It was funny and very scary, though some would say in bad taste. I thought the timing of this movie trailer was THE BEST.
It sure was a wake-up call.....
Those two being in charge of our country WOULD be the end of the world!
Palin's book title, by the way, is perfect! The definition of a rogue: "An unprincipled, deceitful, and unreliable person; a scoundrel or rascal."
I thought the depiction of Sarah Palin and Glen Beck was very funny. What a disaster. This is an accident waiting to happen.Could you picture these two running this country.
To Myron: Hell no ! Hootie Hoo
To Myron: Hell no ! Hootie Hoo
To Myron: Hell no ! Hootie Hoo
I heard someone on the radio say that Palin & Stormy Daniels should run on the same ticket!!! That would be hilarious!!! They could sure be a fund raising powerhouse!!!!!
iS iT reALLy tRUe??
The important thing is to totally discedit Palin and Beck so nobody will listen to what they are saying!
We have the greatest country that has ever existed and we are throwing it away; going down this European style socialistic/communistic path!
Our ancestors fled from those totalitarian type regimes in Europe and we've gone back time after time to rescue our distant cousins! Europe isn't that smart! Why are we copying them?!
Who's going to rescue us?
Would be alot better than the two we have in there now. They want to bankrupt the country so Obama can be King of the World.
Observer, you're out of your mind to say such things about Sarah Palin. She will win the 2012 Election against Barack Obama. Not only will Palin win. She will be turning some heads doing it.
To Jonathan: Stop thinking with your...shall we say "lust" and start thinking with your brain. Put the pipe down, you're starting to burn your mustache. :) Seriously, we will see sir, we will see. God Bless and Merry Christmas. GB
Darn, NBC took down the clip. I missed that show but SNL has been doing a great job with the political satire.
It may be fun to spoof Palin and Beck, but do not underestimate these two greedy money making machines. They grow more powerful each day. As you can see from the above comments, they have an army of 30 million devout worshippers who believe everything they say, and will do anything they say. Scary stuff indeed.
Got something to say?
