Because that's what health care is when you have no other choice but to go to the state.''

Al Gore's enemy, the U.N.'s enemy: global warming. Then you get the scientists — eugenics. You get the scientists — global warming. Then you have to discredit the scientists who say, 'That's not right.' And you must silence all dissenting voices. That's what Hitler did.''
—Glenn Beck, linking Al Gore's campaign against global warming to Hitler's campaign against the Jews, 'The Glenn Beck Program,' April 30, 2007
''Barack Obama ... chose to use his name Barack for a reason -- to identify, not with America -- you don't take the name Barack to identify with America. You take the name Barack to identify with what? Your heritage? The heritage, maybe, of your father in Kenya, who is a radical? Is -- really? Searching for something to give him any kind of meaning, just as he was searching later in life for religion.''

Comments
I did read these quotes. And after watching Glenn Beck for years, I understand how he is saying these things. They're jokes. He's usually red in the face and exasperated and joking. Of course, just printed without any knowledge of how Beck delivers these quotes makes for an interesting interpretation, doesn't it. Let me put this another way... if you took Chris Rock's jokes and just printed them, people would be calling for his head!
I think people would accept Glenn Beck's comments as jokes if he were a COMEDIAN! (like Chris Rock)
Perhaps Glenn Beck should change his career path?
If these are jokes, they are among the most hateful I've every seen. Beck is a menace. Some say he is a cynical liar, some say he is plain nuts. I say both.
KL, these arent funny if there supposed to be jokes. chris rock doesnt openly joke in front millions of viewers about calling for the murder of people he disagrees with. thats disgusting
I think marilyn manson is the craziest celebrity alive. do you think so?
Actually these are NOT jokes. You know what makes a good joke, lets assume they are jokes for one moment, but you know what makes a good joke.. a good punchline and the fact that when you read them, you laugh, because most jokes translate to paper. I give you an example of a Chris Rock Joke. On the subject of the tiger attacking Roy of Sigfried and Roy "That Tiger didn't go crazy, that tiger went tiger". And one other thing, if you do list Chris Rock's joke down, you will understand that if you say you quoting Chris Rock, you know you quoting a comedian.
Its quite ironic because while he can be extreme it is the only way to get his point across sometimes not because he is extreme or radical but because people are to arrogant to just listen instead they go with pre concieved notions and they know they dont like him or anybody before they even see his show or listen to his radio program... And never once has he lied i have personally looked up many of his "lies" which he states are backed with facts and well ironically they are factual and correct.
