Is Alex Jones a scaremonger?

Many followers of Alex Jones and his web-site infowars.com are full of terrifying conspiracies of a new world order.  Many critics of Alex Jones claim that his conspiracies never come true and that there is not much research behind what he says.

William Cooper author of the book Behold a Pale Horse exposed Alex Jones as a scaremonger just before William Cooper was killed by authorities in 2001.  William Cooper explained how on New Year’s Eve of 1999 Alex Jones’ radio show was full of lies, propaganda and scare tactics.  Cooper explained how Alex Jones discredited patriots with his acts of fear mongering.  According to William Cooper, Jones’ radio broadcast on that night could have created mass panic that led to martial law.

Cooper believed that Alex Jones is trying to make Americans violent so martial law can take place.  On New Year’s Eve of 1999 Alex Jones explained how cash machines were failing, explosives were going off in France, missiles being launched in Russia and how China was being attacked.  Alex Jones also began shouting about how there were more wars going on at that time than in the last 50 years.  Alex Jones even said that hundreds of thousands of people were dying on the last day of 1999.  None of these so called wars or mass killings were taking place.  Jones succeeded in panicking large amounts of people that night and is still succeeding to this day.

Some who oppose Alex Jones believe he is a change agent who is trying to inspire violence so the United States has a revolution.  Other’s claim that he is part of a secret government project called ‘mockingbird’ where a commercial broadcaster infiltrates the media.  One of Cooper’s favorite quotes was, “Whoever fires the first shot loses.” Many claims and accusations of conspiracies are being made by Alex Jones but solutions are seldom offered.

Supporters of Alex Jones call him a true patriot and much of the alternative media appreciate the attention he has brought to out of the box thinking on commercial media.  So is Alex Jones exposing conspiracies or is he inspiring fear in hopes of creating martial law?  Maybe he was just a victim of reporting so-called facts and stories that he didn’t research or maybe he is being fed false information.  William Cooper often said, “We must have moral high ground.” Scaring each other will get us nowhere except in a bunker with water and ammunition in the mountains.  Topics such as immigration, H1N1 vaccinations and an Orwellian new world order all need to be researched and openly discussed with a foundation of education.  Scaremongering fictional e-mails that have Obama, Rush Limbaugh and Oprah saying this and that need to be researched not gossiped and forwarded to your friends and co-workers.  So the next time you hear some frightening news do your research and see if a panic merchant sold you some chicken fried fear.

Alex Jones is more right than he is wrong. Sure, his delivery can be dramatic but much of the content is dead on. My advise is to look past the drama and listen to the words, then, research it yourself. You will find, as did I, that there are some very serious things going on. Don't listen to anyone, even Alex Jones, and assume it is true. That said, if things do go to Hell in a hand basket over the next eighteen months, don't blame it on the messenger.

Dads, ask yourself this, what if Alex and others are right?

Would you rather be the Dad that planned ahead and stored enough food, water, ammunition, etc. to take care of your family and looked dumb if nothing happened, or, find yourself wondering around doing anything you can to provide for your family.

To me, the risk of looking silly for having a lifetime supply of Spam and bottled water in the garage is a far better than wondering how I am going to feed my children should stores close because of supply issues or hyperinfl

alex jones has made mistakes, bill cooper has made mistakes. I am a faithfully listener to alex jones everyday, I listen to bill cooper when he was still alive. I cross check everything. everyone should do the same. as for the article above the use of the phrase 'conspiracy theory' is the real issue at hand. its a word handed down from high above. the real conspiracy is for anyone to believe what they are told by the mass media or any government mouth piece, in short is a trained boxed response.

Your article has some merit, but what about the 9/11 stuff that he did expose? It'll be pretty difficult convincing people that that stuff isn't true. But I have wondered why he - Jones - hasn't felt some repercussions. Perhaps that would prove him right, or it could be a false-flag to perpetuate the myth...

I've often thought that Alex is definitely "stirring the pot," trying to stoke a revolution. But our government is wickedly evil, and that is truth that needs to be exposed. Alex's mission is to get the information out, and to encourage others to get the information out, so that we do have a solid foundation of knowledge on which to act.

So this guy Chris Steele is quoting William Cooper as if he is some kind of authority, and that we should just believe him. So Mr. Steele is apparently even more guilty of the things that he accuses Alex of -- such as forwarding/repeating unresearched, opinionated garbage that he heard from somewhere else.

I'm sorry, where is it written that "commercial" radio is supposed to offer a "public service"? As I understand it, commercial radio is supposed to offer entertaining content so that the audience that chooses to listen will trade with the advertisers. The free market, which we are supposed to still have, decides what content is worthy, not some idea of "public" value. It is also my understanding, we the tax payers generously throw our tax money away and pay for NPR to handle "collective" broadcasting.

Be careful, your "service to the public" statement places you on a slippery slope to socialism/communism. Definition: A theoretical economic system characterized by the collective ownership of property and by the organization of labor for the "common advantage of all members"

I've noticed how Alex Jones villifies the Catholic Church, calling it a "phony Christian church" and implicating it as one of the powers pushing for a so-called new world order. When recently the Pope wrote that he supported a "new world government that served the poor," Jones subtracted the part about serving the poor and thus was able to show that the Catholic Church was on the side of the "elite banksters" who want to take over the world. Such dishonesty!

In truth, the New World Order isn't even what Jones says it is, a 'one world government'. One world government is just a means to an end, not an end in itself. NWO does not equate to a 'one world government' but refers to a society without Jesus Christ, without the Catholic Church, without grace, without the sacraments.

Pray the rosary for peace on earth!

Those guys are the master-manipulators that try and convince anyone that doesn't think like them or agree with them as being shills, strawmen, NWO devotees and FBI operatives, manipulating people in ways that are similar to the ways that they accuse of others' of engaging in. Believe me, there are plenty of people out there that have figured out that the government is filled with liars and that there are agendas being played out right under everyone's noses. I don't need some uneducated, paranoid, talk-show host who is obsessed with the Bilderberg Group, Bohemian Grove, Police States, and reptilian shape-shifters to tell me what's going on in the world. I have access to the same information that he and every other nut out there has access to. I also don't need people telling me that no planes flew into the WTC or that beams from outer space or controlled demolitions brought them down.

First, how did Jones come in contact with 20/20? In case you need reminding, ABC is the enemy! In fact, they epitomize the New World Order’s corporate-controlled mainstream media; and they’ve done serious damage to the Truth Movement over the past few decades with their cover-ups and lies. Why in God’s name is Alex Jones working in unison with them? Please think long and hard about this point, because just recently the station which Jones broadcasts his radio show on – GCN – became an ABC satellite affiliate, and they’re also carrying ABC programming and advertising. How can the alternative media remain viable and trustworthy if they’re openly consorting with the enemy?

I used to listen to Alex Jones...he has on his show many well respected politicians, scientists, professors, etc. The problem: He yells too much, he doesn't take many of his callers seriously. When someone disagrees with him, he yells them off the line. He whines too much. He doesn't give any solutions to the problems he reports on. He always tells of having 'the documents' that prove his theories, yet he won't show them to anyone. Granted, I visit his 'infowars' occasionally...it has mostly mainstream news sources which he just posts. His theories have very little credibility, however, they get you thinking about the motives of those in power.

That being said, I take what he says 1/2 value. Why, he needs to come up with 20 hours a week worth of show so he'll start reaching and exagerrating because it is a show. It's entertainement, but informative as well. Just watch any of the talking heads on cable TV. Same garbage.

I tell you after a 4 hour show, i feel like going outside to throw up because of all the bad news. LOL. That's why I only listen to him 2x a week. Thats all the bad news I can handle.

An elite powerplay began in October with the bailouts and proceeded with Obama assuming office. Much of what Alex covers was lent considerable credibility.

Alex, as much as he reports reliable and damning information about the corruption of the ruling class, is also very good at marketing. This makes many suspicious, and rightfully so. But it is good that Alex is a good marketer.

Alex Jones has outflanked mainstream media. His numbers are ballooning. He often calls for intellectual and emotional revolution. He also has lots of authoritative guests who thinks
he is a quack. He just had Buzz Aldron on. Alex didn't attack him for misinformation regarding the space landing.

Before the Conspiracy nuts came up with the Al Quaida Conspiracy, run by the Taliban, that hijacked Boeings and so fort, we only had REAL IRA in Europe.
