WWE superstar Chris Jericho usually has an answer for just about everything, but what will the co-holder of the unified tag team belts do in a handicap match next Monday night in Dallas against DX?
In the main event this past Monday evening on RAW in Baltimore, Triple H defeated Jericho with the rule being that the loser would then be in a handicap match next week on RAW. Had Triple H lost, it would have been the 13-time champ against "Jeri-Show" at the next show on Monday.
With actor Verne Troyer (Austin Powers movies) dropping by as special guest host this past Monday night in the run-up to the WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs Pay-Per-View you could say that it was a small chance that we would not have a good show.
Although the scenes with Troyer were not up to par with some of the previous guest hosts, the overall content of the show was decent.
As for the night's other matches:
Mark Henry def. United States Champion The Miz in a Non-Title Match;
John Cena def. Carlito;
Randy Orton def. Kofi Kingston (with the help of Legacy);
Sheamus (#1 contender) def. Santino Marella;
Maryse & Jillian def. Divas Champion Melina & Gail Kim.
After destroying Carlito, Cena looked like he might have a fight on his hands with Sheamus, who has emerged as the number one contender for his belt.
Sheamus came out and stood at the top of the entrance ramp to stare down Cena, but the Irishman apparently wanted no part of Cena, deciding to turn around and go back to the dressing room.
Maryse has let it be known that she wants her women's title belt back, putting Melina on notice now two weeks in a row.
Finally, the rivalry that has developed in recent weeks between Orton and Kingston has gone better than I thought it would. Kingston is emerging as a big-time player on RAW, and I think he and Orton can make this rivalry into one of the better ones in recent memory, although it will not top the Orton-Cena feud we have all come to witness and enjoy.
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban will be the special guest host when RAW originates from Big D next Monday night.
