Young Bucks to TNA? Briscoes to WWE? Big signing news

As reported earlier, the Young Bucks had a tryout at the TNA tapings against The Motor City Machine Guns.  This match was said to be excellent and following it TNA President Dixie Carter posted on her Twitter asking if TNA should sign the Bucks.  Apparently, the answer was a resounding yes:

"Proud to report TNA has signed the Young Bucks. Thanks to all of you for the input on them. They show great potential."

Meanwhile, Jay and Mark Briscoe received a WWE tryout recently.  After this they were reportedly offered a contract, pending a physical (as the case of Nigel McGuinness/Desmond Wolfe taught us, an important step).  Sources indicate that they are, however, under Ring of Honor contract at this point and the company's tag champions.  A deal is expected to be worked out with the Briscoes in WWE at some point in 2010.

It's difficult to imagine how the Briscoes would fit in with the WWE.  When they debuted, they were rail thin 18 and 17-year-olds, respectively, who focused on flying and bleeding buckets.  After a Mark motorcycle accident, they took a year off, bulked up and returned, still flying and bleeding, but also with stiff strikes and a southern tough guy persona.  While big for the indies, their in ring style, reminiscent of the Steiner Brothers, will be hard pressed to work in the WWE who will have limited time for their flashy moves, whether they be flying or doubles teams, and less time for their stiff strikes and lack of selling at their size.  Of course, by all rights, they are talented and could work a better suited WWE style while still keeping elements of their indy maneuvers in order to get over, or, with more selling, end up a cross between the Hardyz and the Bulldogs.
